This is in response to complaint #*** The company has a signed contract by this customerIndicated in Article seven of the contract, client agrees that this statement constitutes the entire contract between the school and the client. No verbal assurances or promises shall
bind school or student. We are here to complete our end of the agreement. Her child would have been completed by now if she would not have chosen to use another driving business. Per our conversation, December 19,2017, she was informed that we would be scheduling drives for our July students after the holidays. She responded with a statement that they would be gone until after the first of the year(2018) and to pencil her son in for driving lessons and they would make it work. Within less than twenty-four hours her story completely changed. She demanded her money back and all registration forms pertaining to her son. She was informed that we could provide her with the report card indicating completion of Drivers Ed I. She demanded a copy of the blue SOS form that is signed by the teens high school. She was informed that the original has to remain in the students file for three years. She demanded a copy of it and by state guideline a copy is not valid. She can obtain a new SOS form from whomever drives her teen and have it signed like she had to for us She has completely distorted the facts of our conversations, and by accusing anyone of any mental deficiencies that are associated with out school is both irresponsible and ludicrous. My point is that typical of people like her, they don't read and they don't take notes. She payed $for her sons Drivers ED course, not $as she stated. Like everything else, it is a distortion of all the facts Pro Driving runs a professional driving school. We've been in business approximately nine years. We have a very good reputation with the majority of our clients. We draw people from a fifty mile radius to attend our school. Apparently we must be doing something correct. Too bad it had to come to this. At this point we stand by our signed contract. If we can be of further assistance, please contact us Yours Truly - Dan Bourn Vice President Pro Driving Academy,Inc

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your response. I think you helped make my point, perfectly. I’ve also noticed that there were recent additional complaints made with Revdex.com, which are almost identical to what I’ve stated, further corroborating my points. However, allow me to make some corrections to your statements.  I have not disputed that I signed a contract with ProDriving. My assertion is that said contract should be nullified due to your lack of disclosure regarding your timeline. Had you been forthcoming initially, I would have never signed with your company. It is your deceitful nature that created this mess.  I never “changed my story.”  After our December conversation, I was upset, and felt trapped by the situation.  I was concerned by your demeanor on the phone.  I immediately started calling other businesses to see if I had options. Once I had made other arrangements, I called you back to ask for documents and a refund.  That is not “changing my story.”  It simply took a day to explore options, realize I was not trapped into working with you, and make other arrangements.   I did not “demand” documents from you. I requested them. Documents you told me to come pick up. Once I was there, the lady in the office told me, “I don’t even know why you’re here,” while she proceeded to help other customers who came in after me. She gave me one of two forms requested, and I inquired as to how I was supposed to handle that, so that we successfully met the requirements. I did wind up having to get a new state form from the high school.  You are correct that I paid $415, an even bigger waste of money. I simply didn’t realize, while filling out the Revdex.com form, that an exact amount was needed in that slot, since the amount of refund I am requesting is $250.  You now state my son would have been done by now had I stayed with you. However, I have no confidence that is true. Each time I talked to you, you said “call back in a month.”  The last time we talked about it, you said he would be done “by Spring.”  Your lack of scheduling ability put me in a bind, and your lack of clarity left me with zero confidence.  In fact, my son has completed the course at another agency, with ease.  That is why I have requested a refund of $250, which is the price I paid to have him complete the course elsewhere.  Perhaps the greatest concern at this point is your erratic behavior. As I stated to you on the phone, I was baffled that you could not hold a civil, reasonable conversation. Combine your behavior and lack of scheduling ability (which is really a deceitful lack of disclosure), and I no longer felt comfortable with my son at your business.  Perhaps you had a great run over the last several years and did “something correct,” but this past year, something must have gone awry. Again, I point to additional, near-identical complaints registered on Revdex.com.  Again, I feel you are in breach of contract due to your lack of disclosure of timeframe initially and throughout the course, and your monthly, willful, continual misleading of that timeframe. You are holding on to money, for a service that was not provided. You are hiding behind a “contract” that is invalid due to your own deceitful actions.  I have asked Revdex.com to get involved, because it is clear you will not do the right thing without some impetus. I feel it is important for businesses to be held accountable for the greater good of all consumers.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/09/07) */
"Each student of Pro Driving is given a phone number to call to schedule drive time. Mrs. Shea repeatedly called our main line in an attempt to schedule her child's time, and was told by our Office Manager, Rose, that she must call the...

scheduling number to get this done and was provided the scheduling number. The scheduling number is 309-360-3702 and rings to me. I do not answer the phone during driving instruction times. Our company has always implemented a 24 hour return call policy and we do our best to accommodate our customers. We teach 180 students every 6 months. Again, if Mrs. Shea would like to schedule the drive time, she needs to call the scheduling number. If no one answers, she will need to leave a message and we will be happy to return her call as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
[redacted], Vice President"
