Find another propane supplier. ProFlame has the highest rates in the country. I was a good customer but continually was price gouged. After I finally got smart and changed suppliers, Proflame made me wait for 2 months for them to pick up my tank. It sat in my yard and when they finally did pick it up, they charged me 50 dollars. There are many propane suppliers out there, you would be smart to select one of them and pass on ProFlame.

Review: I had been a customer with ProFlame since 1992 or 1993. My lease stated that I would pay a $25 per year tank rental fee. Each year when they over billed the tank rental fee, I would call, they would check my contract and see that I was a $25 tank rental fee, and adjust my bill. On August 27, 2013 I spoke with Tiffany at ProFlame, she checked my lease and confirmed my tank rental was $25 per year and adjusted the bill. I have a voice mail from her confirming the tank rental at $25 per year. This year when they again over billed the tank rental, and their prices for propane were much higher than the competition I decided to cancel my service. I called and requested they correct the tank rental fee, and they said they would credit the account. I also cancelled service at the same time. The final bill shows they didn't credit the account for the over billed tank rental fee. They now say they have the right to change the tank rental charge at any time. I asked for a copy of the contract and a copy of the notification of the tank rental increase. They said they can send me a copy of the contract but there is no notice of the tank rental increase and that they don't have to provide advance notice for tank rental increases. Then they said "at least we didn't charge you 39.99 to pick up the tank".

This seems to be a very unfair billing practice, raising tank rental fees without notice and then when you complain threatening to bill you additional charges. Many customers in Ramona are very unhappy with ProFlame and are leaving. However their unfair billing practices should be stopped immediately.Desired Settlement: I would like the tank rental charged at $25 per year and the final billing adjusted to show a $25 tank rental, and a prorated charge AND NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES ADDED TO THE BILL IN RETRIBUTION FOR ASKING FOR A CORRECTED BILLING.

Review: My husband and I bought a house in Ramona and closed on Friday August 30, 2013. During the inspection process a technician from Pro-Flame came out to look at the propane tank. He deemed it unsafe and recommended it be removed due to excessive rusting. On Tuesday September 3, 2013 Pro-Flame called me to transfer the account to our name. They said they would email me paperwork. By COB Wednesday September 4, 2013 I still had not received paperwork so I called to verify that they had the correct email address. They confirmed and said they would send it right away. I still have not received paperwork.

A technician was supposed to come out to our property during the week of September 9-13, 2013 to determine what equipment would be needed to remove the tank. By Friday September 13, 2013 I had not heard anything so I called Pro-Flame. A technician had not been out that week as they had said. I demanded that the tank be removed and they put it on the schedule for Wednesday September 18, 2013 and stated that we didn't need to be there. By COB on that day the tank was still in-tact. I called Pro-Flame the morning of Thursday September 19, 2013 and they confirmed that no one had come out. Again, I demanded the tank be removed ASAP and they scheduled the removal for Friday September 20, 2013. By 4:00 pm that Friday the tank was still untouched. I called them multiple times and got a recording stating their customer service representatives were assisting other customers and to leave a message. I left a message an hour prior to closing stating that our tank had not been removed and we want it off our property ASAP. I still have not received a call back.Desired Settlement: My husband and I want this tank removed from our property. Pro-Flame deemed it unsafe and we've decided to go with a different company once the tank is removed. Pro-Flame continues making false promises when all we want is for them to take their equipment so we don't have to keep hounding them. If this continues then we will be filing a lawsuit against them.
