Review: [redacted] and employee came to install congoleum vinyl in 6 rooms in my house on 6/22/2013. It was to be free floating installation. After the work was performed we discovered many bumps under the vinyl. There were also several places where it didn't lay flat on the floor. He came out 1x to look at the installation (7/3/13) and lifted it up in the kitchen to find what looked like a piece of chalk and cut and adjusted one place. I requested another installer to come and look at the job because I was unhappy with the installation. He was able to point out the fact that [redacted] must not have done any floor prep, due to the fact that there was vinyl scraps, small screws and the like under the vinyl (hence the bumps), the seams were not prepped properly because you can see where the glue came to the surface, there are still several places where the vinyl doesn't lie flat. Luckily it is a house that we are not currently living in, but are fixing it up alittle at a time, so there wasn't alot of traffic. Also the place where [redacted] put patch (where double wide trailers seam in the floor is) the patch is very rough and not smooth, when I had told [redacted] about it when he came to evaluate it the one time, he just said that was the way it had to be. But upon talking with this other installer, it was not done well and he stated over time that it would wear the vinyl.The other installer stated that the reason that it didn't lie flat in several places was due to it being bound up, and one place it had been stressed. There were 2 places where [redacted] had patched the vinyl because he had cut it short. I called him and set up a time when he could come and address the issues with the floor. I even agreed to wait a month, due to the fact he was booked and out of town on jobs. I called him to make sure he would be there about 2 1/2 weeks before hand. Well at the appointed time(8/23/13) and place he never showed, wouldn't return my calls, never called me backDesired Settlement: I have to pay another installer to come and "redo" the floors....I want to be reimbursed for [redacted]'s installation or the cost of someone to fix the mess he left for us.
