Pro Green Lawn & Landscaping Reviews (1)

Requested my bill for 3 months & haven't received it. [redacted] called & became verbally abusive & made rude comment about my gender. I hired Pro Green months ago to do basic yard work. The agreement was to do lawn, cut bushes and work on flower beds then, bill me EACH month for services. I've called [redacted] many, many times for the bill but he won't send it. I left a message tonite saying this was the last request for the bill and that I would no longer need his services. He called later and launched into a profanity-laced, verbally abusive tyrade. The "*" word was used several times and he ended the tongue-lashing with, "I know now why you're single, [redacted]." He told me I could have written him a check any time however, how would I have written a check without a bill? I tried paying his men several times and they told me I'd need to "speak to [redacted]". He made several comments that clearly indicated he didn't like working with single/divorced females, which I find disrespectful and rude. He said he would come over and personally leave the bill in the mailbox and this has worried my family after the verbally abusive nature of his call. I am very distraught and all of this came from simply wishing to pay him for work done. His people were good at mowing regularly but when it came to special tasks (bushes, flower beds), I had to beg for service (and the flower beds were never done). I was verbally assaulted and this man needs to be informed he cannot treat "single female" customers in such a way. It was demeaning and unforgivable.Desired SettlementI would like an itemized bill and the ability to dispute any incorrect billing items should he decide to pad the bill in his anger. He commented in the phone call (7/16/13) that he had done $200 worth of work on my hedges, yet the agreement was for $75 an hour and his men worked just a few minutes under 2 hours. That's not $200; that's $150. Glad to pay for work his men did but won't pay a dime more than the below listed services. The bill should be $395 and no more (7 lawn cuts @ $35 each and 1 hedge trimming @ $75 for 2 hours). I have not seen **. [redacted] since the initial "estimate visit" and still have no bill or location to send it. Business' Initial Response While I truly sympathize with **. [redacted] condition, I'm surprised she would go to such lengths to slander my business with accusations that NEVER happened. During our first meeting I told **. [redacted] that I could do the lawn maintenance for 35.00 weekly or 40.00 Biweekly. Both of these prices were very generous since she has a large corner lot with a sidewalk. Since she is a neighbor and had informed me that she was going through some difficult times I was happy to do it. We also agreed on a price of 200.00 to trim her large hedges and clean up the clippings. She asked how I charged and I told her by the job but when she pressed me on that I told her that I try and judge how long a job will take and have a formula per hour that I try and go by. What she is not taking in to consideration is drive time and fuel and other factors that go in to an estimate. All she chose to hear was 75.00 an hour which is absolutely not what we agreed upon since she said "can you do it for 200.00?" That price also was very reduced cause she told me she had received quotes of 500 to 600 dollars to do the same job. Again I was trying to help her out. **. [redacted]'* only issue with me seemed to be that she had not received a bill and called me in a panic about it. I told her that I had mailed one the week before and she said to me "that I must have not sent it". I assured her that I had sent it and that I would send another one. I have since sent another bill in which she decided to pay what she thought that she owed me instead of the generous prices we agreed upon. I've been in business for 19 years serving the Germantown/Collierville/Bartlett and Memphis areas with hundreds of satisfied customers including area schools, churches and Fortune 500 Businesses.
