clear patients for mental health hospital admissionThe law states that all patients have to be examined by a medical doctor within hours of admissionUpon admission this physician is required to complete an page History and Physical document, screen current medication and make recommendation that will help the behavior health staff with the treatment while hospitalized. In this case we suggest for the patient to visit the medical records department and ask to view her treatment records documented by DrC*** since she does not recall having been seen by herPlease understand that this is not an unusual complaint since many newly admitted patients are often confused and stressed during this timeMany doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners of several medical specialties’ stop by to examine and counsel these patients. The bill which this patient has received from PRO HEALTH ONE is not $but only representing the 20% after Medicare payment, but there is another bill from DrA*** which accrued during an earlier admission for the same type of service and is currently in collections totaling $Perhaps the total of both charges is $ but representing separate charges from separate companies.We sincerely hope that this will help Mrs*** to understand and remember how and why these charges are valid and correct as required by Medicare (CMS)Her account with PRO HEALTH is due to be transferred to collections next month as wellIf she wants to make a payment by phone she can call us at ###-###-####. Upon admission this physician is required to complete an 8 page History and Physical document, screen current medication and make recommendation that will help the behavior health staff with the treatment while hospitalized. In this case we suggest for the patient to visit the medical records department and ask to view her treatment records documented by Dr. C[redacted] since she does not recall having been seen by her. Please understand that this is not an unusual complaint since many newly admitted patients are often confused and stressed during this time. Many doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners of several medical specialties’ stop by to examine and counsel these patients. The bill which this patient has received from PRO HEALTH ONE is not $53.00 but only 27.02 representing the 20% after Medicare payment, but there is another bill from Dr. A[redacted] which accrued during an earlier admission for the same type of service and is currently in collections totaling $25.95. Perhaps the total of both charges is $ 52.97 but representing separate charges from separate companies.We sincerely hope that this will help Mrs. [redacted] to understand and remember how and why these charges are valid and correct as required by Medicare (CMS).
