Review: After hiring this company to pack a U Haul moving van to travel from Billings, MT to Durham, NC the packers did not cover my dresser, headboard or nightstand with the fabric that was provided to prevent scratches and digs into the furniture. I actually told the packers to use the fabric covers. When the truck arrived in Durham it was a mess. The owner of the company blames the damage on my driver. My driver never exceeded the speed limit or drove in any unsafe manner. The truck was packed so poorly that all the materials were everywhere. I have other damage but I only asked the owner to cover the cost of the damage to my bedroom suite. At first he told me he would file an insurance claim then when I sent him pictures he claimed that my driving caused the problem and he decided to do nothing. Actually he told me the packing of the truck was my responsibility but then he said the truck was packed properly. Thus far I have filed a complaint with the Mover's Inc., where I got his name through U Haul and [redacted]. He is very angry and claims he will file a defamation of character suite against me for making a complaint. All I want is to be made whole.Desired Settlement: I want $800 for a $2300 bedroom suite that I purchased in 2010, this includes a partial refund ($80) for the poor packing. I would also like an apology.

[redacted] hired a moving helper business thru u-haul which provides helpers to help with loading or unloading the truck that they rent so how the truck is loaded is the clients responsibilities we loaded for her and used what was provided by her with blankets there was not enough we used what we can as for the tv her husband helped load it in the back it was all good for them when they left for North Carolina , so don't know how it was driven to there we have been loading and unloading for u-haul for 7 years without any problems that's 300 jobs so I'm am confident on what we have to provide for help and do what the client wants

Please review comments below. My husband was not present during the loading of the truck. There were enough packing materials to cover the dresser and despite my request that they be used, they were not. The comments below are between ProInstall and myself through the complaint site for Moving Helper. Despite a complaint to [redacted] that he never responded to, he had until May 19th to respond, he chose not to do so. I stand by my complaint and will continue to request $800 for damages. ProInstalls response to Moving Helper is that the truck was packed properly. I have made this trip from GA to Billings, MT with no damage in the past. Proper packing makes all the difference.

Character defamation is only going to happen if I am lying. What has happened is the fact that the truck was packed so poorly that it couldn't make the trip to NC as it was packed. There was not issue with my driver. The FACT that the furniture was never even covered with the furniture covers just shows how the packers did not follow simple instructions and that is YOUR job to teach them how to pack properly. You may not have had a complaint until now, but I am complaining and I know that if the truck were packed properly there would have been some shift but nothing like how it arrived in NC. You told me you would file a claim for the damage that was done to my furniture then you decided to do nothing. That makes for complaints to [redacted] and anyone else who will listen.
