Review: It seems this company values billing (even for services not required or not delivered) more than it does customer service. We just got an invoice for 5 continuous weeks of mowing when it should have been 3 at most, and [redacted] (she says shes the office manager) seemed unconcerned, just saying she'd "research it and in the meantime we had to pay the full amount no matter what. Pro-Mow services lawns on a weekly schedule. This seemed a bit much, as lawns don't always have to be mowed every 7 days, a concern we voiced early on. We were told they had to keep everyone on a rotation because it was too difficult to schedule otherwise. We were VERY explicit in our concerns about mowing too frequently (over-mowing is actually not good for the lawn) but Pro-Mow assured us we could skip some weeks because:(1) We could call ahead and request no service that week; or(2) The lawn crew used their judgment and if they saw that our grass did NOT need mowing that week, they'd skip our house.Initially this worked okay: the crew skipped our house sometimes when service wasn't needed, and the company honored my requests when I called. Last month, though, they did neither. I had, for example, called a couple of weeks ago (for service scheduled 5/23) asking for NO mowing that day, as we expected our electricity company to send a lawn restoration crew that day (to patch some areas where they had dug earlier to replace some cables). Pro-Mow agreed to not come that day, but still billed us for it. It also seems Pro-Mows just mowing anyway whenever they can, not just as needed: we got billed for service on 5/3 and then again on 5/9. Even with the rain we recently had, our lawn never grows so quickly that it needs to be mowed TWICE in one week, and we had been emphatic that we never wanted service more frequently than weekly (again, its not good for the lawn, and it goes against the service agreement of weekly mowing at most). We now are being billed for 2 more weeks than we should have been in May.Desired Settlement: I would like for Pro-Mow to immediately cancel our service (effective today, 6/6/14, as I requested on the phone with them this morning at approximately 9:30 am EST) and issue a new statement. The current invoice for $200.00 for five weeks should be replaced with a new invoice for the correct number of service calls, which should be three at most (for $120.00). We will pay that invoice upon receipt. Thanks for your cooperation.
