Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Our reasons for rejecting Sidelines response first relate to the balance owed and to clarify our issue is with the subflooring not being level, not the hardwood floors Full payment was to be received when the job was complete The balance is $which is less the $we had to pay to try and resolve the standing water in the addition basement Sideline contracted a plumber to install a sump pump and asked us to pay the plumber out of the balance owed We have a receipt from Sideline noting this payment and $remaining amount due We never made a final payment because Sideline never came back to reinstall the electric line to our garage that they cut during construction process, nor did they cleanup the damage to our patio adjacent to the addition that happened during construction process Those items we ultimately repaired ourselves. Our concerns with Sideline at this point are specific to the subfloor of the addition, not the hardwoods installed by Harmon Flooring Subfloor was never properly level, therefore floor is not levelPrior to the hardwoods being installed we let the builder Don D***s know we were concerned and his response was it should be fine and unnoticeable Unfortunately it is not level Roof we do not know when the leak began, but became visible in the room during the winter and leaked behind the walls, and into the addition We cannot see the full damage or if it continues to leak behind the wall, but did leak enough that our paint is peeling and drywall and wood trim are damaged Drywall tape, cracks, seams and nails are exposed throughout the room due to improper installation Center window of bay we cannot use because it wont open and close and has been unusable since installation Screen was damaged by builder when installed, and full screens were supposed to be installed on all windows and instead half screens Finally the exterior outlet was never installed correctly, wires are exposed to the elements it does not work, and is a hazard We would be more than happy to pay Sideline the remaining balance of $if the subflooring can be fixed, roof repaired, exterior outlet repaired, and window repaired along with the full screens being finally put in In no instance do we want Don D***s on our property, during the last two meetings his behavior was inappropriate and intimidating when asking for final payment on behalf of Sideline construction Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com spoke with the business today and provided the following response:The floor was not installed by us, it was a third party company that was not our subcontractor The homeowner elected not to use Sideline Construction for the floor, so her issue would need to be addressed with the company
that she hired to do the floor for her.The last we spoke with the consumer was in April 9, and no issues were mentioned The only issue was with her very old patio that she wanted us to replace and we were not given the opportunity to look at it She locked the gate so my employees was unable to gain access At this point, the consumer still owed us over three thousand dollars that has still not been paid, which is still owed.As to my recollection, the patio was damaged and in need of replacement prior to Sideline Construction starting the job.As far as the leak on the addition, the drywall tape, the electrical outlet, the window, I am more than happy to address these issues for her As far as the basement leaking, there is no way to determine what the cause of this may be without actually looking at it, and will address as needed. One question that the contractor has for the homeowner, since we have not heard from the customer since April of 2014, when did the roof start leaking, are we to assume that water has been pouring into the house for a year and two months? And when did the basement leaking start leaking, has this been an ongoing issue that we were not notified of?Once the issues are resolved, is the customer willing to pay the money that was never paid upon completion of the job?Again, we are more than happy to address her concerns, however, we were unable to assist as we were not made aware of any problems until the complaint was received?

Have contacted homeowner and repair is being made tomorrow

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Please note that Tom *** has not replied with a simple willingness to correct errors or finish the job. His response did not address the drywall cracks and tape that are visible throughout the room on all walls and seams, he did not address the bay window he installed that has never been able to open or close properly, or the screen that was damaged on the bay window upon installation. His comments on the electrical inspection are an attempt to place blame elsewhere when there is an outside outlet clearly installed improperly. The subfloor is not level and any conversations with Harmon wood are also irrelevant, The new less than a year old roof leaks, regardless of why whether a result of snow, ice, or rain causing the issue. We have had a third party look at the roof and in their opinion it was not installed properly. Finally the foundation leaks, which is most likely a result of improper sealing and poor grading around the foundation. His workers never came back to re-hook our electrical line to the garage and they made no attempts to clean the worksite. I will be providing photos supporting our complaint and if you have any questions please feel free to give me a call

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Our reasons for rejecting Sidelines response first relate to the balance owed and to clarify our issue is with the subflooring not being level, not the hardwood floors.  Full payment was to be received when the job was complete.  The balance is $2000 which is less the $1000 we had to pay to try and resolve the standing water in the addition basement.  Sideline contracted a plumber to install a sump pump and asked us to pay the plumber out of the balance owed .  We have a receipt from Sideline noting this payment and $2000 remaining amount due.  We never made a final payment because Sideline never came back to reinstall the electric line to our garage that they cut during construction process, nor did they cleanup the damage to our patio adjacent to the addition that happened during construction process.  Those items we ultimately repaired ourselves. Our concerns with Sideline at this point are specific to the subfloor of the addition, not the hardwoods installed by Harmon Flooring.  Subfloor was never properly level, therefore floor is not level. Prior to the hardwoods being installed we let the builder Don D[redacted]s know we were concerned and his response was it should be fine and unnoticeable.  Unfortunately it is not level.  Roof we do not know when the leak began, but became visible in the room during the winter and leaked behind the walls, and into the addition.  We cannot see the full damage or if it continues to leak behind the wall, but did leak enough that our paint is peeling and drywall and wood trim are damaged.  Drywall tape, cracks, seams and nails are exposed throughout the room due to improper installation.  Center window of bay we cannot use because it wont open and close and has been unusable since installation.  Screen was damaged by builder when installed, and full screens were supposed to be installed on all windows and instead half screens.  Finally the exterior outlet was never installed correctly, wires are exposed to the elements it does not work, and is a hazard.  We would be more than happy to pay Sideline the remaining balance of $2000 if the subflooring can be fixed, roof repaired, exterior outlet repaired, and window repaired along with the full screens being finally put in.  In no instance do we want Don D[redacted]s on our property, during the last two meetings his behavior was inappropriate and intimidating when asking for final payment on behalf of Sideline construction.
