Review: E-mailed [redacted] in [redacted]. to inquire whether they do carpentry repairs to fascia. They called back and said yes, they would send someone to look at the job. He came, looked the job over and left without leaving an estimate. A few days later, a man showed up calling himself [redacted]. He said he was from Pro Quality Home Improvements and that he does work for [redacted]. He looked the job over and quoted me $1576.00 to remove the gutter, replace 2 eight foot pieces of wood and reinstall the gutter. I paid him in 2 installments of $788.00 each by check, the first upon writing the contract and the second when the job was completed. Two weeks later [redacted] calls and said they want to do the work they originally were contacted about. I told them the story. They never contacted Pro Quality to do the job for them, never asked this company to do any work AND they said I had been ripped off as to the price of the work. They estimated the job at about $400. Somehow, Pro Quality found out about the job, claimed they were sent by [redacted] and overcharged greatly for the work.Desired Settlement: An appraisal by [redacted] of the work done by Pro Quality. The repair was on the fascia right below the roof. Its too high for me to examine. And a refund of the overcharge.
