We are always dismayed when a customer is not pleased with the services we provide We are proud of our track record of hundreds of residents that are satisfied With all due respect to the former resident, this is a situation where there was unpaid rent and damage to the property upon move-out We are obligated to charge for it and pursue collection as per the representation agreement that exists between our company and our client To reiterate, all relevant documentation is available and would be happy to sit down with the former resident and discuss it

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No, I do not accept the lame excuse from Pro Realty.
First, they NEVER contacted one of the two references I gave them (even though they said they did) then they said my references never contacted them which was a lie because prior to my phone call to them I had contacted both references. One reference stated they had in fact talked to them, the other reference stated they were never contacted.
Second, I never received a letter "via US Mail" and coincidently just received my application fee back.
Third, their "calls" were "one" call in which they left a message. I have not listened to it due to this complaint.
I have literally just repeated everything in my original complaint. Their application process is shady, my references were waiting for their call AND it is illegal to take money from multiple applicants. One day I was told to my application was looking good, the next day they said my references didn't get back to them quick enough. I would like their application procedures Investigated. At no time was I ever told "we need to talk to your references within one day or your application will be denied." This is in fact what they did even after telling me I had priority because I was the first one to see the property and get my application in. Little did I know they were taking multiple applications.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/12/18) */
We work really hard to be as fair as possible while abiding by all rules, regulations and laws. This includes full compliance with Minnesota State Statute 504B.173 and Minneapolis City Ordinance 244.1910 that regulate application fees. With all due respect to the applicant, there is documentation to back up the timeline as previously described. Again, we understand that a situation when someone is relying on a third party for communication can be aggravating. Most everyone has experienced this when applying for a job, a mortgage or in this case a rental home. We are always trying to make the rental process better and accepting online applications and payments certainly is convenient for our customers. However, it can cause a delay of a few days when a refund is issued.

PRO Realty Services has a long record of providing exceptional service for our residents.
PRO Realty Services offered to terminate the lease early as requested by our resident as a desired resolution. The offer was declined.

Any time we have someone that is unhappy with us, we feel we have fallen short. However, this is another opportunity for us to work toward better communication with our residents.

We are always dismayed when a customer is not pleased with the services we provide.  We are proud of our track record of hundreds of residents that are satisfied.  With all due respect to the former resident, this is a situation where there was unpaid rent and damage to the property upon move-out.  We are obligated to charge for it and pursue collection as per the representation agreement that exists between our company and our client.  To reiterate, all relevant documentation is available and would be happy to sit down with the former resident and discuss it.

I am rejecting this response because: I have emails asking for the door to be repaired. Not to mention that I had to call the inspector to get my oven fixed after a year and a half of not working. They said I had to pay for which is why I called the city. I feel like I am being retaliated against for doing this. I don't have any of these pictures they say they have. There was pics done when I moved in. Can I see those? I want to see the bill. I want to know how much of my 899 plus interest was total.

Getting contacted by a collection agency is certainly not an enjoyable experience.  For that reason and many others, we are very careful with every account that is turned over for collection.  It should be noted that the former resident did not pay the last month rent, relying on the...

security deposit which is prohibited by MN State Statute 504B.178 Subd. 8.  Photos and other documentation show the repairs and cleaning that were necessary after the former resident moved out of the premises.  It is industry standard that broken window blinds, broken doors and trash removal do not constitute normal wear and tear.  The amount paid by public assistance was, as the former resident states, in the amount of $899 and had been accounted for as such.  The security deposit was processed with an interest credit. The final statement was sent to the former resident on June 16, 2015 and we would be happy to meet to explain the charges in detail.
