Review: I rented a storage unit and when the employee showed me the space I noticed a piece of sheet metal sticking up a little and told the girl if that was a problem and she said no just stack your stuff and it should be fine. But later I got a phone call from [redacted] who wanted to make an appt for me to be at the property and let the maintance guy fix unit. I had told [redacted] that it wasnt necessary since I stacked boxes in front of it. [redacted] insisted on making appt. So we agreed to Saturday at 11am which [redacted] claims it was at 10am. That day I arrived late and the girl in the office tried calling the man to come back but he didnt call her. I than went back home. When I received the invoice I was told that because I missed the appt I would have to pay $100.00 and this is the charge is for the repair man coming out. I was told by [redacted] that the man was coming out for something else and [redacted] never said that if I missed the appt or arrived late I would have to pay a fee of $100.00. I feel as if they do this to collect more money from customers and they don't feel as if they need to justify this charge or even give the customer verbal notice in advance that a $100.00 fee woulf be charge for no shows or arriving late. When I spoke to [redacted] he said that there was nothing he could do and that the fee could be broken down in payments for me that he could work with me on that. I told him if this was going to affect my rent fee's since I don't want to lose my storage for disputing the charges. He said no that this fee would stay on my account till paid. So I paid directly to [redacted] the storage unit rent amount and [redacted] told me to call [redacted] at [redacted] ext.[redacted], which I did but left vm and the next day I received by email an invoice from [redacted] showing that the money I paid was applied to the $100.00 fee and not to my rent and that my rent plus remaining fees and late charges were now owed.I left vm for [redacted] to call me back again. Today I finally got a hold of him and he tells me the same thingDesired Settlement: I would like them to take off that charge since they didn't notify me that they will bill you for missed or late appt. And also adjust my account to show that my rent was paid on time and no late charges are owed. I got there at 11:30 and my appt was at 11 but [redacted] saids the appt was at 10 and that the man had to wait two hours, the man billed them for waiting even though I got there at 11:30 which is half hour before the two hours. I dont think I should have to pay this cause I showed up
