The original quote for the was for a frame change that should have been in great condition with all the essential parts on itAs stated before we got a bent damaged frame brought to us with bare with nothing on itIt is not a simple repair to just swap parts from one to anotherWhile the paint on the jeep is in the same condition it was brought in the body of the vehicle has a lot of rust and I am trying to get this vehicle to look as good as I canSo I will finish the vehicle with out the paint job in the allowed time for the original priceI am not trying to renegotiate anything just trying to get this taken care of as best as I canthank youRegards [redacted] / Pro Tech

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Mr [redacted] ,While I can appreciate that you are now committing to a firm completion date, I believe that the amount you are now asking for, $5500, versus $originally quoted, is not a fair offer and is contrary to your statements which I have from you and can submit to the Revdex.com or a mediator on their behalf, in which you stated that you could keep to the $budget over an extended period of time, which has certainly now passed. As for the paint job you offered, while I understand this is meant to add value to the work, and may look good on paper, is not necessary as the paint is in fine condition, or was when I left the car with youTo the layman, or anyone that has not seen this Jeep, your offer is akin to me going to a hair salon for a $haircut, and the cut not going well, extra work needed by the hairdresser, and being told that I will now need to pay $35, but will get free highlightsI would stress to the Revdex.com that this issue is a complicated one, involving safety, a large amount of money, and an egregious amount of time that has passedI might recommend that I be allowed to bring in another mechanic to inspect the work that has been done, the condition of the vehicle now, and the validity of the $repair estimateSo while I realize that the Revdex.com might want to take Mr [redacted] 's offer as a gesture of good faith, I plead that they take these other factors into consideration, and my feeling that an 83% increase in the estimated cost is not a fair oneI would counter that I am willing to pay $upon completion no later than the end of June, and would like to bring another mechanic to inspect the workRegards, [redacted] Regards, Judith Slaughter

I will be more than happy to complete this project and am willing to accommodate our customer. The completion firm date will be June 16 or before I will also include a complete paint job with this project and am willing to do a color change at customers color choice. The price is already extremely low for the amount of parts that have been required to complete the repair as we have stated before the original frame came completely bare & I am already at a loss with the parts. I do understand my customers issues and will be willing to take a 500.00 less for repair this is extremely fair being that I also have invested more than 50% already. This would total a balance of only 5500.00 with a full paint job. Thank you and I really hope this is an issue we can both get past and I can finish your vehicle. Regards *** / Pro Tech

PAGE 01/02ATT : Mrs. [redacted], Thank you for the opportunity for allowing me to elaborate on thestatement of problem. I am sincerely saddened by this customer's complaints and issues as I feelwe have gone above normal standards to meet our customer's satisfaction. Here at ourestablishment we...

have never taken advantage of any gender or ever discriminated anyone wehave always been very prideful in our customer's fair treatment. The vehicle was repainted dueto customer not satisfied with color selected which is a custom made color with no color codeand customer was advised that such colors are only a close match if ever needed to be repairedtherefore there is no warranty on colors we still honored our commitment. The aftermarket partswere brought by owner of vehicle which is of poor quality and we also explained issues with theproper fit despite our explanations, the customer insisted we install parts regardless of fitmentissues and said just to do our best. At time of delivery the owner was extremely happy with ourwork and no complaints were noted. Approximately 4 months later customer advised me ofissues with the bumper lips both front and rear after vehicle inspection I explained to customerthe vehicle had been damaged from some sort of accident and we would have to charge for thisrepair at which point the customer agreed to pay. We were never reimbursed for these repairs. There was plain visible damage to both bumpers and the customer stated that the vehicle hadbeen at a mechanic shop getting more aftermarket parts this explained why the front bumper wasfalling off as there was a huge chrome turbo pipe pushing the bumper off the front end and wecustom fit the bumper and repaired the rear damage as well customer also brought a model car tobe painted the same color of the vehicle since we were pi ngagain. Once repairs wcompleted I personally asked customer if it met all expectations and was am~a sligeand a yes thank you so much. I have been extremely nice and icspectful but nowiemr-, 177efforts havebeenin vain. As a professional with integrity I am willing to return the customer1 2/1 5/2 015 14:49 2106552658_THE UPS STOREPAGE 02/021000.00 as a courtesy as I have put more time and effort and have lost due to damages caused bynegligence of accidents not caused by my repair facility. Thank you and lam hopeful we mayresolve this issue as soon as possible.Kind Regards Pro Tech Auto Armor12/15/1015ID# [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I, [redacted], never said that I did not want the job finished.I am open to renegotiating the cost, but also think that the time you've had my vehicle(3 years) should be taken into consideration. You told me that you could keep to the original budget if I allowed you to get it done slowly. I believe most would agree that is more than enough time. I request an actual offer to finish it, timeframe and cost. There can be an additional month or two allowed for unforeseeable repairs needed, but I request a firm deadline after that. All I've received are vague promises for three years. Please do the right thing here; I'm telling you I have the money needed. I just want my Jeep back.

I am rejecting this response because:
Mr. [redacted],While I can appreciate that you are now committing to a firm completion date, I believe that the amount you are now asking for, $5500, versus $3000 originally quoted, is not a fair offer and is contrary to your statements which I have from you and can submit to the Revdex.com or a mediator on their behalf, in which you stated that you could keep to the $3000 budget over an extended period of time, which has certainly now passed. As for the paint job you offered, while I understand this is meant to add value to the work, and may look good on paper, is not necessary as the paint is in fine condition, or was when I left the car with you. To the layman, or anyone that has not seen this Jeep, your offer is akin to me going to a hair salon for a $20 haircut, and the cut not going well, extra work needed by the hairdresser, and being told that I will now need to pay $35, but will get free highlights. I would stress to the Revdex.com that this issue is a complicated one, involving safety, a large amount of money, and an egregious amount of time that has passed. Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Mr. [redacted] has had this vehicle for three years. The complainant asked him before he undertook this project if the vehicle was worthy of being restored. While she understands the safety aspect of it, and unexpected setbacks in the restoration of it, she has record of him stating that some of his employees were not being careful enough with it and just "cutting holes into it" to remove bolts. Due to the long time that this vehicle has been in the shop, and multiple target completion dates being missed by Mr. [redacted], it is now unclear as to whether he can even complete this project. It is also unclear if she were to take it to another mechanic, what would need to be done to it, and if it has been compromised. When we last spoke with Mr. [redacted] in person in October of 2016, he vowed to have it done by the end of the year. In all occurrences when the complainant would show up unannounced at Mr. [redacted]'s shop, no one was observed working on it, and there were parts from other vehicles stored on top of it as though it hadn't been worked on in some time. His response to this complaint is the same that has been received in the entirety of the three years that he has had it in his shop. When they first arranged for the repairs to be completed, he also promised pictures as progress was made. None of these have been received in the past two years, so the complainant has no reason to believe that anything will change without pictures and a completion date.

I apologize for the late response to this important issue. As I have been out of the country. I am surprised that the issue with the customer has gotten to this point as I have been working on this extremely complicated project. The Customer has been informed of all the issues with the vehicle and...

yes has been very patient with us. As I have explained my concern with this vehicle has been about safety and the vehicle has nothing that can be saved with out replacing The frame that was brought by the customer had been compromised due to it being in a prior accident and I informed owner of this I have also been doing my best to keep this in a budget that the customer can afford so this puts me in a situation with getting parts at an economical price for owner I have committed myself to finishing vehicle in a timely manner and will do my best to get this vehicle done. I am currently working on it and doing a great job to keep my customer happy but more than that safe. I hope this issue can be resolved very soon as I am close to the completion please note that I do appreciate my customers full satisfaction and will do everything in my capabilities to achieve this. Thank you Respectfully [redacted] / Pro Tech Auto Armor

My understanding from the response that I received was that the owner Miss. [redacted] did not want us to finish the vehicle in question so I was a bit confused with how to resolve the issue. Her concern with the vehicle is that she believes we have compromised other parts that have nothing to do with the repairs. I do understand her concern but nothing has been compromised since the vehicle has been here. I am not sure if she would like us to finish it or to have it towed to her residence. My time frame is approximately 30 days due to the nature of the vehicle I would be willing to go over budget with the parts needed for the proper completion of vehicle. To satisfy my customer. I will continue to try and resolve this issue as promptly as possible. Thank You Mr. [redacted] Kind Regards Pro Tech Auto
