8-month payment plan. The days I did not work there, were days I used to work on smaller projects to make money as they were on a payment plan. There was a misunderstanding in the timeline for my return. I have since spoken to Mr.[redacted] and Mr.[redacted], and the shoe molding and touch ups are scheduled for the month of February.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear  below.    Regards,  [redacted]  Mudding is a term used in the construction field to cover all aspects of finishing sheetrock installation with joint compound and seam tape. It is supposed to result in a Smooth Wall so it can be painted. We paid Mike P[redacted] $1,000 to start this project at our house located at [redacted]. He was told at the time of the contract signing we wanted to rent the house in the spring. After painting this property, this would mean lots of other work including installation of flooring. He gave us a start date of December 2nd and was paid $1,000. He was notified after a month and asked when you plan on starting. He worked January 2nd and on January 7th he stated he was done after 5 days. He wanted to be paid another thousand dollars. I told him my friend was going to check on the work and he stated at that time he would go back to the property and touch up any spots he might have missed. After this was done, he stated again it was ready to paint and the second installment of $1,000 as agreed, was given to him. On January 28th I arrived at the property. The house was full of dust and debris. The heat was set at 63 degrees and every light on every floor of the two story house including the basement headlights on. Protective covers were removed from the kitchen area and other areas and or covered in dust and debris. I had to go to a motel because of this condition. I came back the next morning and proceeded to take pictures  and contact other contractors. I hire people to clean the house which cost $200. We tried in vain again to contact Mr. P[redacted] on on January 28th until February 4th. I personally left 9 text and 12 phone messages. At this point I became concerned for his well-being. A friend of a friend drove by his home and saw his truck in the driveway and stated he was okay.  Mike P[redacted] text me on February 4th stating he was not at fault blaming us for the incomplete work. I have not had any attempts from Mr. P[redacted] to resolve this matter. His tools for his profession and ladders are still at the property. Please note that contact was finally made via that text after he received the complaint from you. The video I sent Mr. P[redacted] on January 28th showed the defects in the bathroom and laundry room. I have three other videos and 71 pictures showing the remainder of the house and the defects. The defects per independent contractors cover every possible error in the trade in every room of the two bath and two bedroom home. I presently have two quotes from reputable contractors that put repairs well over $2,000. To recap,   1. Mr. P[redacted] was paid in full on January 17th for the complete version of the job.2. There has been no contact since January 17th until February 4th. Possible phone was off in his mailbox was full.    3. 9 text and 12 messages left by me from January 28th until February 4th4. Video was sent of the laundry room and bathroom on January 28th and Mr P[redacted] and this was part of his response to this complaint.   5. There are 71 dated pictures and 4 videos showing the defects at this property.   6. Two reputable contractors gave quotes well over $2,000 to fix Mr. P[redacted] work.   There are several pictures attached to show examples only of what was considered by Mr. P[redacted] the job being completed. The damage is created by mr. P[redacted]   far exceed what he was paid.   Thank you,    The [redacted]'s

There are MANY flaws with this complaint. Never was I a no show, I was told by both Mrs.[redacted] and her husband that the work did not have to be complete until spring. When I gave Mrs.[redacted] the update I told her there was still some light sanding that needed to be done. Upon my next visit to the house,...

I noticed areas that needed to be worked on, and voiced this to her during her phone call and at which time while explaining to her the work that was still needed, she told me that she didn't understand this type of work and to tell it to Mr.[redacted], under the impression he would be calling me that evening. In the beginning of that phone call, she told me there was a family emergency and that Mr.[redacted] was coming to NY to deal with it, and to paint the house. This call was not a negative call, as she says in her initial complaint that she "fired me."  I also have photo documentation of some the work I have completed, including the upstairs bathroom and laundry room that Mrs.[redacted] claims were untouched.  I am not a scam artist as she states, nor is Mr.[redacted].   I am sorry she felt the need to take such rash actions but this complaint is both inaccurate and unnecessary.   I have reached out to Mr.[redacted] to resolve these issues. 2/4/2017
