Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The business's response contains claims that are simply untrueI've attached what photographs I have stored in my phone to demonstrate that the ventilation was not at all installed either to the contract, or to any building codeThe photographs clearly show no ventilation hoses ("socks" as the contractor refers to them) connected to the roof vents in any wayThe way he left this job, and I especially note he claims is his standard installation, the roof decking would begin developing mold the very first year, and subsequently would rot - the exact condition I paid him to repair from the initial builder's eave-style terminations I am away in South Carolina until October 5, or I would take and send even more photographs supporting my claim that the contractor did not do the work I paid him to do I will also attempt to send you the contract that outlined the work in contentionI will also try to attach a copy of the initial contractIt may have to be in a separate message if it's not attached to this oneAs far as the gps claim goes, delaying their arrival at my home, that is utter nonsenseRyan has been to my home a minimum of times prior, including finding it initially to work up a proposalIt's sad to think that he couldn't remember where my house wasI prefer to call it what it is - a lie, like almost everything he's told meThe fact is I called his number twice that morning after he said he'd be there shortly -- both attempts went immediately to voicemailHe could not reach me by phone after that because I blocked his numberThat means he gets that 'blocked' message when he tries to call me He didn't, and he couldn't leave a message if he wanted toIf he was serious about what happened, and reaching me to remedy it, he had email, which he never chose to useOf course he heard nothing back from me; my last voicemail to him was very clear that we were done fooling around, don't call me back, and we would now go the legal routeThe bottom line here is that I cannot trust this contractor to come into my home and perform any kind of sincere, quality work considering the present animositiesI've also discovered that [redacted] has removed his company from their website, and I quote, " we are not sharing this provider because they broke their contractual obligations to both [redacted] and our Members." This speaks volumes to meMy original request for remediation stands I desire a refund of the monies paid for this work which was not done I don't believe I can get another contractor to remove the improper roof vents installed by Ryan, install the correct ones and connect the vent lines for even the amount of the total additional work proposal, but I will accept $of that total as allotted to the work described Items & on the proposal were very minimal, as evidenced by the small pieces of rotted plywood Ryan left at the job site (which he should have taken away and disposed of) I have no reason to believe item was ever performed If it was, it was a half hour work with a nail gunI wish to hire a different contractor to perform this necessary work The other damages and shoddy work will have to remain lessons learned, lessons I am not willing to learn again with Proactive Roofing Regards, [redacted] Lessons learned

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The business's response contains claims that are simply untrue. I've attached what photographs I have stored in my phone to demonstrate that the ventilation was not at all installed either to the contract, or to any building code. The photographs clearly show no ventilation hoses ("socks" as the contractor refers to them) connected to the roof vents in any way. The way he left this job, and I especially note he claims is his standard installation, the roof decking would begin developing mold the very first year, and subsequently would rot - the exact condition I paid him to repair from the initial builder's eave-style terminations.  I am away in South Carolina until October 5, or I would take and send even more photographs supporting my claim that the contractor did not do the work I paid him to do.  I will also attempt to send you the contract that outlined the work in contention. I will also try to attach a copy of the initial contract. It may have to be in a separate message if it's not attached to this one. As far as the gps claim goes, delaying their arrival at my home, that is utter nonsense. Ryan has been to my home a minimum of 5 times prior, including finding it initially to work up a proposal. It's sad to think that he couldn't remember where my house was. I prefer to call it what it is - a lie, like almost everything he's told me. The fact is I called his number twice that morning after he said he'd be there shortly -- both attempts went immediately to voicemail. He could not reach me by phone after that because I blocked his number. That means he gets that 'blocked' message when he tries to call me.  He didn't, and he couldn't leave a message if he wanted to. If he was serious about what happened, and reaching me to remedy it, he had email, which he never chose to use. Of course he heard nothing back from me; my last voicemail to him was very clear that we were done fooling around, don't call me back, and we would now go the legal route. The bottom line here is that I cannot trust this contractor to come into my home and perform any kind of sincere, quality work considering the present animosities. I've also discovered that [redacted] has removed his company from their website, and I quote, " we are not sharing this provider because they broke their contractual obligations to both [redacted] and our Members." This speaks volumes to me. My original request for remediation stands.  I desire a refund of the monies paid for this work which was not done.  I don't believe I can get another contractor to remove the improper roof vents installed by Ryan, install the correct ones and connect the vent lines for even the amount of the total additional work proposal, but I will accept $600 of that total as allotted to the work described.  Items 4 & 5 on the proposal were very minimal, as evidenced by the small pieces of rotted plywood Ryan left at the job site (which he should have taken away and disposed of).  I have no reason to believe item 6 was ever performed.  If it was, it was a half hour work with a nail gun. I wish to hire a different contractor to perform this necessary work.  The other damages and shoddy work will have to remain lessons learned, lessons I am not willing to learn again with Proactive Roofing.

We were apologetic with this customer in regards to the things he was unhappy with. Sometimes during the removal of the existing roof things can get damaged. Although we did cover the surrounding areas of the home with tarps and plywood a few of the solar caps did get damaged. We agreed to replace...

understandably when brought to our attention. Customer had orginally purchased from home depot but since that time they have been discontinued. We had to purchase them off of Amazon and we had an issue with the order so it took longer than expected. We were not aware of all of those nails that were discovered by the customer. After each job we clean up and go around with a magnet to pick up and loose nails or flashing. We swept the deck as well. Over the course of time it is completely normal for some nails be discovered but customer never brought this to our attention. We try to be as diligent as possible with our clean up and will be sure to take additional precautions in the future. In regards to the ventilation, we did that aspect of the job exactly as described on the contract. Months later customer did not think that the way we ventilated the attic was suffice so after him being very upset with it we agreed to do it how he wanted. Scheduling has been difficult as already have jobs on the board that need to be completed. We had spoke to the customer on the phone and planned to meet with him a few weeks ago. Contractor was heading his way when our GPS brought us to a similar sounding address a few miles away (there is a DRIVE and a PLACE to his street name and we were directed to the wrong one). That hold up was pretty unfortunate as by the time we arrived at customers residence he had already left minutes prior. We called several times to explain to him what had happened and to schedule another time that day or the next day to have everything taken care of. After many attempts we had still not heard back from customer- then we received an email from the Revdex.com. If customer is willing to meet with us still we also are willing to continue to address his concern. Thank you.
