Proctor Roofing Reviews (20)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Hi, My invoice/proposal/specifications/estimate from [redacted] Entdoes not match the invoice provided by Mr [redacted] I attempted to provide it on your format, but it said I had an errorI reattached it here I ordered heat tapes to be installed, and decided against them, and we changed my order to do fascia, and ventsThat scratched out part at the bottom of my invoice was left off the invoice Mr [redacted] submitted to Revdex.comHis receipt does not include the bottom figures either, they concern fascia, and a return of ice and water barrier I met with different [redacted] workers to estimate the roof/siding/fascia/window/doorI walked the property with each, and showed them the problems, and they told me the quantity, and what to purchaseI purchased all the materials, except for the roofing, and window, which they providedI have a large pile of remaining materials, which they told me to order to repair the issues(Proving they didn’t do what they said they would.) I have photos of the roofing work from before they came, and after they didn’t complete their work, which I can produce On 8/23/I spoke to Jerry concerning that the work hadn’t been completed, and he told me to have all the materials in the garage, and they would be out the next week to finish the workThey never came, and stopped taking my calls On 1/29/Jerry [redacted] left me a threatening voice mail, he was angry about me filing a Revdex.com report, he stated, “The work was done,” “I don’t understand what you’re complaining about, they did repair the soffit and fascia, now you want the whole house done.” “ Now I understand why the other contractor want to throw you off the roof.” “Maybe I’ll counter sue you, how would you like that?” I can produce this voice mail, as well , the photos of the roof not completed, (the contract clearly states, replace all missing or damaged shingles) and the remaining pile of soffit/siding Thank you very much for your helpPlease let me know that you received this email***

Conract Proposal / Receipt is attachedAlso attached are photographs of the roofing debris in the atticPlease note that all items stored in the attic needed to be moved & cleanedAs for the lightening rod cable, the contractors account of events is erroneousThe contractor states that this was "a 2-minute job"Not sure if they are refering to the attic cleand/or the lightening rod installationCledefinately was not Cable aside, my initial complaint to the Revdex.com stemmed from the fact that the contractor continually promised that the completion of work was imminent (e.g"We will be there on Saturday between 10:& 1:00") but then would never show or called to re-scheduleThis pattern persisted on a weekly-basis for nearly 2-monthsI will gladly share a detailed account of the lightening rod cable but would prefer to do so via a phone conversation with Revdex.com since it involves a lengthy series of eventsSuffice to say that at the time the Proposal was signed (April 2014) the contractor maintained that they had cable & that it would be included in the price of the roofIt was only in July that the contractor finally admitted that they did not have cableThat further prompted my Revdex.com complaint since at that point it was clear that Proctor had not been truthful with me and that the delay in the completion of work had not been an unfortunate series of events

Good Morning attached are pictures of the window that is completely rotted out that we WERE going to replace but now that he wanted to reject our response on Revdex.com we will not be helping this homeowner, our contract was to replace his roof which is what we didThe homeowner is not a roofing contractor so he has no clue that just because you have a roof leak does not mean that it is the roof his window is completely rotted out where you can put your hand down by the window water is coming in thru there and water travels once inside a wall, we have been in business for years we know how leaks workThe homeowner doesn’t want to admit that he made a report about our company and we have proven that it is not the roof and have attached multiple pictures of the window that show how rotted it isIf the customer apologizes and accepts the fact that we are donating a 1,dollar window and a 3,dollar kitchen ceiling we will move forward until he corrects his response on Revdex.com we will not be talking to himThank you Kelli p [redacted] attachments 4Xmake size double hung full screen window

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI am rejecting the response from Proctor Roofing for the following reasons: In the business response, it read that the leak was not due to the roof, it was the windowThat is a totally statementIn my original complaint, I explained that one of MrProctors employees came to our home and took a water hose to our roof and the water then poured right through our kitchen ceilingIt was clearly the roof that was leaking, not the windowSince my original complaint in September, I paid dollars to another company to have the portion of the roof repaired that was leakingSince that repair, there have been no leaks into our kitchenIf it was the window, wouldn't there still be leaks, especially with the rainy fall we had? Another reason I am rejecting the business response is that there was no mention of repairing our kitchen ceilingThere is a huge hole caused from the leaks from the roof, including leaks into our cupboards, ruining a lot of food itemsI would accept his offer to replace the window, out of his generosity, however, he needs to include repairs to our kitchen ceilingPlease feel free to contact me with any questions Sincerely, [redacted]

Good Morning, I left a message this morning I have attached the complaint with a copy of our contract with her, and her complaint is that the work isn't finished but everything on the contract is completed her complaint is that all the fascia and soffit was not all replaced but as you see on the contract there is nothing about soffit and fascia being replaced she wanted it all done for free and that is impossible to do, to replace all your soffit and fascia would be approx$3,we can not do that for nothing and it was not mentioned anywhere in the contract so I would like this complaint removed because it is completely false thank you Kelli [redacted]

To whom it may concern : Proctor enterprises is willing to come to the property on a date that the homeowner is available to install the new window, and to replace the kitchen ceiling with drywall and mud sand and paint drywall. Please let me know when this will work for the homeowner. Thank you

The business provided a verbal response: The leak is not due to the roof that we installed, it is due to a leaky windowAs an offer of generosity to the consumer, we are donating a new window to them and installing it for them

Good Afternoon, regarding the complaint from *** *** at ** *** ***Clifton, the complaint was completely because we have talked to the homeowner muiltiple times and we did said a worker out to look at what they thought was a roof leak and it was not we told them it was their chimney
that was causing the leak, and that a mason would have to come out and repair the chimneyWe were going to send our mason out to repair the chimney but we had to wait for warmer weather at the time just to help them out with their leak even though it had nothing to do with the roof that was installedbut they took it upon themselves to hire a mason to repair the chimney and I have copied and paste the email that she sent us stating that she had to hire a mason to repair the chimney to stop the leak which proves that it was a chimney leak NOT a roof leak caused by our roof so why she is stating to Revdex.com that its our roof that was leaking is completely and she states it herself in a email to us, so I would like this complaint taken off Revdex.com because it is completely she never had a roof leak

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Door on barn is not, nor ever has been, lockedIn fact, there is no locking system on the barn doorThe contractors contenetion that they could not perform work because the door was locked is simply not trueA photo from May is attached showing Proctor on-site performing the roofing Please note that the door to the barn is partially open. As for the clebeing a "2-minute job" it should be noted that myself & another person have spent 4-hours on the clein the atticThe entire floor area had to be cleaned as well as all items that were stored in the atticPictures were taken prior to start of cleand can forwarded as confirmation of this fact.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Regards, *** ***
The response submitted by Proctor Enterprises to our complaint ID*** is incorrectThe
order of events are as follows: Following the BB report filed on 5/05/
we called Proctor again,on 6/6/17,6/07/,subsequently different
workers were sent out on different datesEach worker had a different
solution to the problem the only action each one took was to add more
"caulk" .On 6/07/within 2-hours after the worker left who also
"added"more caulk it rained and the roof leaked a great amount of rain
all over the gas stove, floor, wallOn 7/13/called Proctor office
again to report continued problem of leakageOn the afternoon of
7/14/a worker named Larry(who had been here previously) drove up our
driveway got out of the pickup truck while his fellow worker remained in
the truck YELLING AT BOTH OF US telling us we don't like his
solution/we don't listen to him and he was not going to even bother to
look at the roof again.Got back into his dark blue pick up truck and
drove off.I immediately called the office to report the behavior
and the secretary responded by telling me she didn't know what happened I
reiterated the incident saying they should be ashamed of them selves
for having such poor customer serviceShe hung upWithin a short time
frame I received a phone call from Mrs Proctor telling me to "act like
an adult" and the the phone call was recorded as was all their phone
callsI responded by telling her I was never advised of that factI
also told her to never send any of her workers out to our home again

Good Afternoon, yes that is the final bill that we left with the homeowner for a receipt for all the work that was done and yes we charged her an extra $to REPAIR the fascia not to replace ALL the fascia on her house which she wants donethere is no way possible that any contractor will replace all of her fascia for dollars that was the charge to repair it which she was told before they even started repairing it and she okayed the chargethis lady is trying to look to get something done for free and we can not do something that would cost thousands of dollars for freethis should not even be anything to dispute, because NO where on the contract does it say replace all fascia boards

Revdex.com spoke to ***She stated that the contract was for the roofThe clean up was done, with the exception of the atticThe door was locked so they were not able to get in there to clean upThe lightning rods were requested to be installed by the consumer and was handwritten on the contractThe
rod and cord were to be supplied by the consumerThe consumer did not have the cord to attach the rodsThe business tried to find but was unable toThere was no charge to the consumer for this, as it would have been a minute jobBut the consumer did not have the supplies for the company to install

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Hi, My invoice/proposal/specifications/estimate from [redacted] Ent. does not
match the invoice provided by Mr. [redacted]. I attempted to provide it on your
format, but it said I had an error. I reattached it here.  I ordered heat tapes to be installed, and decided against them, and we
changed my order to do fascia, and vents. That scratched out part at the bottom
of my invoice was left off the invoice Mr. [redacted] submitted to Revdex.com. His receipt
does not include the bottom figures either, they concern fascia, and a return of
ice and water barrier.  I met with 3 different [redacted] workers to estimate the
roof/siding/fascia/window/door. I walked the property with each, and showed them
the problems, and they told me the quantity, and what to purchase. I purchased
all the materials, except for the roofing, and window, which they provided. I
have a large pile of remaining materials, which they told me to order to repair
the issues. (Proving they didn’t do what they said they would.) I have photos of
the roofing work from before they came, and after they didn’t complete their
work, which I can produce.
On 8/23/16 I spoke to Jerry concerning that the work hadn’t been completed,
and he told me to have all the materials in the garage, and they would be out
the next week to finish the work. They never came, and stopped taking my calls.
On 1/29/17 Jerry [redacted] left me a threatening voice mail, he was angry about me
filing a Revdex.com report, he stated, “The work was done,” “I don’t understand what
you’re complaining about, they did repair the soffit and fascia, now you want
the whole house done.” “ Now I understand why the other contractor want to throw
you off the roof.” “Maybe I’ll counter sue you, how would you like that?” I can
produce this voice mail, as well , the photos of the roof not completed, (the
contract clearly states, replace all missing or damaged shingles) and the
remaining pile of soffit/siding.
Thank you very much for your help. Please let me know that you received
this email. [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to...

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I am rejecting the response from Proctor Roofing for the following reasons: In the business response, it read that the leak was not due to  the roof, it was the window. That is a totally false statement. In my original complaint, I explained that one of Mr. Proctors employees came to our home and took a water hose to our roof and the water then poured right through our kitchen ceiling. It was clearly the roof that was leaking, not the window. Since my original complaint in September, I  paid 950 dollars to another company to have the portion of the roof repaired that was leaking. Since that repair, there have been no leaks into our kitchen. If it was the window, wouldn't there still be leaks, especially with the rainy fall we had? Another reason I am rejecting the business response is that there was no mention of repairing our kitchen ceiling. There is a huge hole caused from the leaks from the roof,  including leaks into our cupboards, ruining a lot of food items. I would accept his offer to replace the window, out of his generosity, however, he needs to include repairs to our kitchen ceiling. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Sincerely, [redacted]

Good Morning, I left a message this morning I have attached the complaint with a copy of our contract with her, and her complaint is that the work isn't finished but everything on the contract is completed her complaint is that all the fascia and soffit was not all replaced but as you see on the...

contract there is nothing about soffit and fascia being replaced she wanted it all done for free and that is impossible to do, to replace all your soffit and fascia would be approx. $3,000. we can not do that for nothing and it was not mentioned anywhere in the contract so I would like this complaint removed because it is completely false.    thank you Kelli [redacted]

Good Morning attached are pictures of the window that is completely rotted out that we WERE going to replace but now that he wanted to reject our response on Revdex.com we will not be helping this homeowner, our contract was to replace his roof which is what we did. The homeowner is not a roofing contractor so he has no clue that just because you have a roof leak does not mean that it is the roof his window is completely rotted out where you can put your hand down by the window water is coming in thru there and water travels once inside a wall, we have been in business for 20 years we know how leaks work. The homeowner doesn’t want to admit that he made a false report about our company and we have proven that it is not the roof and have attached multiple pictures of the window that show how rotted it is. If the customer apologizes and accepts the fact that we are donating a 1,000 dollar window and a 3,000 dollar kitchen ceiling we will move forward until he corrects his response on Revdex.com we will not be talking to him. Conract Proposal / Receipt is attached. Also attached are photographs of the roofing debris in the attic. Please note that all items stored in the attic needed to be moved & cleaned. As for the lightening rod cable, the contractors account of events is erroneous. The contractor states that this was "a 2-minute job". Not sure if they are refering to the attic clean-up and/or the lightening rod installation. Clean-up definately was not.
Cable aside, my initial complaint to the Revdex.com stemmed from the fact that the contractor continually promised that the completion of work was imminent (e.g. "We will be there on Saturday between 10:00 & 1:00") but then would never show or called to re-schedule. This pattern persisted on a weekly-basis for nearly 2-months. I will gladly share a detailed account of the lightening rod cable but would prefer to do so via a phone conversation with Revdex.com since it involves a lengthy series of events. Suffice to say that at the time the Proposal was signed (April 2014) the contractor maintained that they had cable & that it would be included in the price of the roof. It was only in July that the contractor finally admitted that they did not have cable. That further prompted my Revdex.com complaint since at that point it was clear that Proctor had not been truthful with me and that the delay in the completion of work had not been an unfortunate series of events.

Proctor Enterprises, did a $575.00 repair back in 2015 which states on the contract that her husband signed that there was no warranty for a repair because repairs are also temporary. Even though there was no warranty on her repair back in 2015 we still came out to try and fix the problem for...

her multiple times. She recently became verbally abusive to my office staff and we will no longer deal with her because of her verbal abuse, we have tried to help her but you can not communicate with someone that is just screaming at you and degrading you and calling you names.... we owe her nothing we did a repair in 2015 and we will never go back to her house because she is a verbal abusive person and we have many other customer's to deal with that are actually pleasant to deal with. I have attached the contract from 2015 that states it was a repair with no warranty.
