To whom it may concern,[redacted] schedule the move with Professional Movers Group.When we talk to our customers over the phone we try to get as much information as possible from the customer, regarding what need to be moved, what need to be done etc. It takes an average of 3-6...

phone calls before the customer makes reservations.One of the first questions that we ask our customers is if they are planning on doing the packing and wrapping of the hours hold goods themselves or if they want us to do it for them as it is an extra charge and extra time.In local moves we are charging a flat hourly rate, the hourly rate includes the following:• Loading and unloading• Packing services• Packing labor• Pick up and delivery• Disassembly and reassembly• Taxes, tools, stairs, second stop. Valuation coverage is for claims (damage or loss). Basic liability of 0.60 cents per pound per complete article is already included, (if CP, not apply if PBO*)With that said, we do advise our customers over the phone and in writing that the following are extra charges:• Packing supplies:All customers are responsible to pack all boxes and fragile items (glass, mirror marble, electronics, etc.) unless noted differently on this estimate cost for service (via "Your Moving Estimate No."), for health and sanitary reasons all mattresses, box springs, futon, fabric, upholstery etc. must be properly protected in mattress box or plastic cover /shrink wrap. Packing materials are not included in the price. Items / furniture that are not properly packed / wrapped will be packed by the mover or will not be moved, please note, plastic bags are not considered proper packing,• There will be 10% of the total job added as a fuel charge and a fee of $20 will be added for documents preparationWith this case, [redacted] assured us that he will take care of packing and wrapping his house hold goods.The moving team arrived to [redacted]'s location on the requested moving day, the foreman did a 'walk through' to assess the job that needs to he done, the foreman realized that [redacted] was not ready for the move with packing and wrapping and that there are a lot of items that needed protection, and so the foreman put in writing all the new charges with regards to packing supplies and the additional hours that it will take the team to pack and move (please take under  consideration that if we need to provide our customers with packing and wrapping services it will take additional time = additional money, plus the cost of the packing supplies themselves).The form that the foreman put in writing all the new charges is 'Revised written estimate', all the extra hours, packing material cost and the fact that the new charges were presented to the customer in person and prior to loading, [redacted] signed all new charges and authorized us to work.If [redacted] was prepare to the move like he told us over the phone, he would not have those extra charges.[redacted]All signed documents are available upon request [redacted]Sincerely,Jennifer

Review: I recently moved and used this company. Big mistake! Their estimate was way off, they don't take American Express, but claimed we could pay with any major credit card when we did the estimate, and they did a half-as job moving our stuff (including leaving quite a bit for us to move) and damaged a piece of our furniture in the process.I will never use this company for moving again.Desired Settlement: I want the couch repaired at their expense and I believe my wife deserves a portion of the cost refunded as the movers did not complete the job we paid for.
