Mr. N[redacted] who is the owner was very rude when an issue arose over a change to my packing services. I would not recommend this company.

This message is being sent in response to the Revdex.com case# [redacted] complaint which was filed by[redacted] After having received notice and reviewed images regarding M[redacted] claim I have determined that due to the span of time between the date of delivery (8/29/16) and the time...

that the alleged damage was reported (9/1/16) it is reasonable for me, as a business manager, to suspect the possibility that my delivery team did not cause the damage to the driveway.  I can certainly empathize with Ms. [redacted] regarding the situation but how can it be proven that my delivery team caused the damage to the driveway, therefore, holding me liable. Thanks for your attention to this reply.  I can be reached at ([redacted]

Review: [redacted], Professional Moving and Storage, gave me an estimate for moving services from Ivoryton to Haddam. The cost was $125.00 per hour for 3 men for 4 hrs. at a cost of $500.00. The movers arrived half an hour late.I assumed because I was quoted 4 hrs., they would run over schedule until 2:30. That was not the case. They left by 1:45. So I didn't lose the check in the chaos, I paid [redacted] $500.00 on his arrival. They finished the job in 3 hrs., 15 minutes. Knowing I wouldn't be able to unpack for a few days, I brought an carry over bag with a few days of clothing. It wasn't until 4 days later, I noticed none of my daily clothes from my bedroom closet were moved and also a boxed mirror. I was in mediation for foreclosure and I had previously notified the bank to change the locks and winterize, which they did. I had to go through a COURT PROCEDURE for a month before I was able to get back into the home to get my clothes and mirror. I spoke to Mr. [redacted] about the clothing and he said he'd check with his workers and get back to me, which he did not. I also wrote him a reminder on 2/17/13 plus advised him of the over charge, damage to ornament that was broken off an antique rocker and just placed back on the arm without anyone notifying me of the damage. They took down and packed large mirrors for me, leaving all of the hardware in the walls. A box of well packed expensive glassware was broken. When moving into my new apartment, [redacted] broke two doors off their tracks which he casually told me to have my handyman repair. Boxes were thrown in closets and so many were thrown in the kitchen, I wasn't able to open the refrigerator or oven. Boxes were piled in the kitchen sink. I have photos to document damage. I phoned Mr. [redacted] twice. Wrote him on 2/17 requesting he reimburse me $125.00, which I feel is more than fair. No response. I sent him a certified letter dated 4/1/13. I still have received no response.

No price can be placed on going through the Court system and dealing with [redacted] to gain entry into my home to get my clothing. It took me one month to the day, 1/14/13 to 2/14/13, to get my clothing back in my possession. I had to hire someone to retrieve my clothes and the mirror. I am disabled and this reaked havoc with my health. I am being more than fair requesting a reinbursement of $125.00 for the actual moving time: 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

There are so many things to respond to I will try to make it breif. I only had a home phone for this customer. We were running behind schedule so iI tried to call but phone had be disconected. The customer was ask to make sure we got everything and she said we did. We never remove hooks and screws from walls. She did notify me about clothes but her locks were already changed. I never heard back from her so I assumed she made araingedments to get them on her own. All movers charge travel which she was aware of. With travel it was a little over four hours but we only charge her for 4. She did not give me the check wntil the end of the job. The check was already made out as a friend of hers was paying for the move. The customer moved into a location about half the size she left. We did the best we could to try to find places to put stuff. We did remove the closet door from the hallway so we had more room to walk by. When we put the door back on a small plastic piece broke. I told her to contact the mantianece dept. for the senior housing complex and that it should be an easy fix. I assumed she would contact me if there were any issues. I feel bad that getting the clothes from the small closet was such a hassel but her issues with the bank were not brought apon buy us.

Subject: Fw: Revdex.com Complaint Case#[redacted](Ref#[redacted])

I went to respond to a complaint I had filed against Professional Movers only to discover I hadn't seen a deadline date of June 13. I added additional comments to my complaint but when I clicked 'submit,' I wasn't sure if it went through. I plan to photocopy letters I have mailed to Mr. [redacted] with my complaints and the certified mail receipts and submit them next week for the public record. Photos are attached to this e-mail. He had total disregard for my furniture. ie: items thrown into utility closet, breaking ornament off antique chair.

Thank you for your assistance.

ON FORM:

"I refute the statements made in Mr. [redacted]'s response. I stand by my original complaint. I did contact Mr. [redacted] several times after the move with no response. I am disabled and very ill. I trusted Mr. [redacted]'s determination when he stated 'everything is on the truck.' He never addressed breaking items and the reckless disregard for my items. He is turning this into a he said, she said and I don't plan to play games with him. I will be submitting letters to the Revdex.com that I wrote to him to appear on the record. The last sent by certified mail. I hope that others will learn from my lesson and thoroughly check out other movers and their employees."
