We are responding to the above complaint from *** ***. We paved her driveway in and it was sealcoat this summer. She developed cracks due to the dry weather conditions (which is clearly stated on our proposal, both front and back, copy attached). When she called to let us
know about the cracks, *** *** told her he would come out and put a crack sealant in them. Since it has been so dry, he was waiting for a good soaking rain before doing this, as sometimes the cracks open up again from the dry weather. He just started doing the cracks for some customers this week after the rain and she is on our schedule for next week. Mrs*** states that *** *** hasn't responded to her calls.He has responded and told her he would be out to address those cracks. She also stated that we used inferior material for paving her driveway which is not true either. We use good quality material from one of the best asphalt plants in our area for all the driveways we pave. When asked how she determined the quality of paving material, she stated it didn't look like her other driveways in the past.We will be addressing her cracks next week, so this issue should be resolved then. We have received complaint for case # *** The driveway was excavated, stoned and paved on June 16, 2014. Mr*** called this year regarding some cracks he had in his driveway. Although our warranty is for year, (and we clearly state on our contract that Mr
*** signed) that cracks can appear due to our Midwest climate. We also highlight for the customer to read the back page which again explains about cracking. Although his warranty had expired in June of 2015, we sent *** out to attend to the cracks this year. Unfortunately we have no control over the type of weather we experience from year to year. This summer was especially dry and prone to cracking. We feel we have gone above and beyond our warranty and have explained the results to Mr***If he has been in the construction and paving industry for years, he certainly must understand the climate in our area
