Professional Power Washing Services

I Called of Professional Power Washing Services and requested a quote for cleaning, putting in new sand and sealing the pavers on my patio and side walkway. He came over and took a look and called me back later and gave me the price. This would include power washing, a polymetric type sand and sealing. He then said he would come over to power wash, give it time to dry come back to finish the job. He showed up on 4/23/18 to power wash, spent about 20 minutes there and my husband gave him a check for 1/2. He did not come back again until 5/2/18. He waited over a week after he cleaned the stone and then sealed. Thought that was too long wait since the pavers had time to get dirty again but he sealed anyway. Then he asked my husband for the final payment. He gave it to him not expecting that the job was not done properly. We waited until it dried and found the sealing was noticeably streaky and some spots did not have sealer on it at all. There were also clumps of sand in corners and along the wall. Not how we expected it to look. I called Bob and he said he would come back and redo it, but would not give me a time. I wanted to be there to show him the problem areas but he refused to set a time. He said he did not work that way. I work, my husband is retired but disabled. Bob showed up but never came to the door to speak with my husband and we again were unhappy with his work. Every time I swept the patio or walkway I kept sweeping sand away. This sand was supposed to set after sealing and not have to be replaced for several years. There are now areas on my patio that do not have any sand between the pavers....just dirt. Some areas are darker than other and it looks splotchy. I called again and again he would not give me a time so that I could be there. He told me to mark the areas and he would be able to see them. I did that and left notes. It was well over a week again and by that time my notes were either messed up by rain or had blown away totally. I kept calling and he said he came over and looked at it , and there were no problems. He said "I don't know what you guys are doing to it" and he was "washing his hands of it". We are not happy with the way this turned out. The patio looks terrible!! There are still areas with no sealer. Pavers without sand and the areas that I do not want sand are clumped with sand that I cannot remove. I hire a lot of service people to do work around my house but have never experienced anything like this. Bob came out to my house 3 times and I never once saw him. If he would have taken the time to see me and let me show him my concerns we probably would have worked this out. It was a simple job and if he would have taken his time to do it right I would not be complaining. He was always in a hurry and could only stop by when he happened to be in the area. I was trying to make my patio maintenance free for a while because my husband is disabled. Now it is going to be a lot of work to make it right or I will have to spend more money to have it redone.
