I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FURNITURE STORE TO ANYONE!!!
When I first walked in with my boyfriend to purchase a king size bookshelf style headboard, everyone was friendly and helpful After some debating and reassurance from a salesman we ordered a "custom made" (from a catalog) headboard They promised us a drawer (for an additional $20) and the requested height we needed and that it would be delivered, built, in daysWe paid for it in full, $(negotiated), and left confident that by the end of the week our bedroom would be complete too good to be true!!
Friday morning comes (delivery day) and we call to confirm the appointment so we could leave work early and be there to receive the headboardAfter a few calls back and forth we were told "it didn't make it on the truck from the Bronx and now it won't be delivered until Monday" Disappointed and slightly annoyed we said okay Monday comes and we have to call again since no one is following up with us Now the salesman is not thereWe call back later in the afternoon/early evening, he's still not there After work my boyfriend decides to go back to the store since apparently nobody likes to return customer calls at this establishment Now we are told the headboard hasn't been made yet and salesman #doesn't know why salesman #would tell us that We are now promised Wednesday would be the new delivery dateWednesday comes and we call to confirm again Now salesman #AND salesman #are not there and we are told our headboard won't be delivered that day either Furious, my boyfriend goes there AGAIN after work, now to demand our money back He speaks with a young lady in the front and after much convincing (thank goodness I wasn't there because I was already livid at this point), she tells us we won't be charged for the drawer (the additional $20) and she would throw in some extra pillowsMy boyfriend reluctantly agrees to keep the order after he hears my wrath about the situation Our new delivery date was now Friday again, two weeks from when we first ordered itThursday comes and we finally get a call that they are delivering it that day, earlier then expectedMy boyfriend rushes from work and receives the shipment He signs for it, they leave and he begins to unwrap itHe takes the cardboard off and it is COMPLETELY different then what we ordered!! It was the correct color, but the style isn't what they originally showed us and there is no drawer And the cheap twin size polyester pillows they threw in "for free", I could've got at The *** StoreHe immediately calls the store and is told "oh because of the depth of the headboard they couldn't put a drawer" It would've been nice of them to inform us about that from the beginning even though they were the ones who offered to add it and going to originally charge us for it and then "conveniently" waived the fee for it because of their terrible serviceTo end a long story short, we ended up just keeping the cheap looking (I could've built this myself with plywood) and completely wrong headboard because the hassle of returning it to get a store credit to a horrible store wasn't worth the energy or anxiety I just hope this is a warning for anyone thinking of making a purchase at this place to avoid it at all costs as their customer service and quality of merchandise is HORRIBLE!!! It's called Sleep Cheap but for goodness sake just because it's inexpensive doesn't mean it has to be a POOR experience/product
