Review: My son attended Proficient Driving Academy (4480 General DeGualle, 70131) from March 22, 2014 April 26, 2014. My son passed the classroom portion as well as the driving portion. My son attended the class on all assigned days but the students were dismissed early on all the days. He was only there for about 3 hours on the last day of classroom instruction. He was supposed to receive 8 hours of driving instruction but the driving teacher [redacted] did not let him drive for 8 hours. He only received about 4 hours of driving instruction.I was not satisfied with my sons driving after the class so he completed additional driving lessons with his parents.My son went to get his driver license on February 19, 2015 but was unable to get them. We were told that Proficients license to operate had been suspended. I spent $425 on training thats not valid. My son will have to go to another driving school and pay another fee before hes able to get his driving license. His driver license is needed because he plans to get an after school job in the near future. I cannot afford another driving school.Desired Settlement: Full refund to pay for another driver's education school.

Review: I went to the "Proficient" Driving Academy during the Christmas holiday so that I may take their course to obtain a driving permit. After taking the three or so day course, passing the state certified driving test, and completed my nine hour driving time, I still have not gotten my information so that I may go to the DMV. It has been three going on four months waiting, and every time I call they don't answer, or if I show up they aren't there. I payed $400 for this driving course. I would greatly appreciate the help of contacting them and forcing an answer so that I may receive the service that I had paid for.Desired Settlement: I would like to just get my information, if they lost it, a complete refund.

Review: I sent my grandchild to the driving academy which cost $425.00. She completed 32 hours and received her certificate from there. The next step was to go to the DMV to take the driving test, but they said Proficient Academy lost their accreditation. So my grandchild was out of a license and I was out of $425.00. Proficient is now closed and the DMV said my grandchild must retake the driving class.Desired Settlement: please if possible refund me $425.00 so I can pay for my grandchild to attend driving school again.

Review: I paid $325 for a 14 Hour Pre-Licensing Course on the 1st of January not knowing that it was out of business. When I paid for it I was currently in Fort Lee, Virginia for Army training. When I got back on the 26 of January I called the business frequently but never got an answer. Today, on the 5th of march I was on my way to the building when I stopped at [redacted], LLC to see if they had any information about what could be going on with Proficient Driving Academy and the owner informed me that they had gone out of business. So I had paid $325 to a company that I had no idea had gone out of business. I strongly feel that I could have been informed when they received my payment that they were no longer in business and refunded the money. I spent so much time trying to get in contact with them to get the process of getting my license started but time was wasted attempting to get in contact with them when they were out of business the whole time. There was no word anywhere that they would be going out of business or actually out of business. The communication with the public about it was poor and it caused me to lose $325, I would really like my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive $400 . The full refund of $325 for the class I paid for and the $75 for the big hassle and the time wasted I went through with his business .

My daughter attended the westbank location over the Christmas holidays. Everything was fine, she passed. Went to the DMV for her to take her driving part and she couldn't receive her license due to the fact this owner of this company lost her license and was still handing out cerficates to individuals who passed and paid their money. So FYI if you took any classes with this company in the year of 2015 your cerfiticate is not valid because she has no license. Please seek a refund from her if you took courses after December, that's if you can get in touch with her. Thankfully my daughter last day taking her courses was on December 30, 2014.

Review: My daughter [redacted] attended this school from 7-7-14/ to 7-10-14.She completed the class. I have tried to use this letter of completion with the DMV. They will not honor it. I'm being told that Proficient Academy was performing illegal operations.. I paid 425.00 for this 32hour class and didn't get anything for my money. I was told to practice with her more and bring her back to take her evaluation. We were told that Proficients license to operate had been suspended. I spent $425 on training thats not valid. My daughter will have to go to another driving school and pay another fee before she can be able to get her driving license.I cannot afford another driving school.Desired Settlement: Desired Settlement: Full refund of $425 to pay for another driver's education school.
