Profilo has 3 manicurists who apply schellac manicure. One of them, [redacted] was previously a waitress, an young girl, hired late last year and trained at Profilo. Never saw her professional lcense. One of the other, [redacted] is a good manicurist, the third, [redacted], does manicure only when she does not have a hair appointment. Before [redacted] returned to Profilo about three or four months ago there were only [redacted] and [redacted] I was transfered to the latter from [redacted] by decision of [redacted] trims and nips cutticles with the little clippers not used by anyone for it. It hurts, the cuticles bleed and hurt for days after. The schellac is applied inevenly, ragged edges on nail sides, exposed parts f nails where water penetrates and the schellac peels off several days after it was applied. Before this bad experience, I prepaid the series of manicures. After the second bad experience with bad work and bleeding, I cancelled all future appointments. The [redacted], [redacted], called me and asked me to give them a second chance and have my manicure done by experienced [redacted] I consented. [redacted] did a good job and I made the next appointment with her. When arrived, was told thee appontment was with [redacted]. Declined, asked for full refund and left. Several times called, came in, called, was told the refund was mailed, but it never arrived. The amoung they owe me is approx. [redacted] or a little more. They should be able to provide the exact ammount.Product_Or_Service: ManicureDesired SettlementNeed to receive full refund for all non applied and for the applied schellac by [redacted]. My company pays net for my time $[redacted] per hour, and for this matter I have used a minimum of * hours including time for getting two botched manicures and driving. So, reimbursement for my prepayment and my time are needed to settle this matter.Business Response [redacted] is a licensed Cosmetologist holding license #XXXXXXXX. She has been employed by Profilo Day Spa since 6/18/13. [redacted] received her certification for shellac through Profilo's. The implements used are Professional Nail Technician brands and adhere to all State Board Requirements. [redacted] did see [redacted] for a Shellac manicure three times prior to her complaint, (12/10/13, 12/21/13, 1/4/14). [redacted] is also a licensed Cosmetologist holding license #XXXXXXXX. Her main focus is hair and is not taking nail clients unless she has openings. When I received the email to cancel [redacted] appointments, due to an unsatisfied service, I offered for her to come in and see [redacted] for her next Shellac. I assured her that she would be happy with the service. She saw [redacted] on 2/22/14 and was happy with the service. I did not charge her for the service to compensate for the previous appointment. At that time [redacted] scheduled her follow up appointment, this appointment was scheduled for Friday, March 7th 2014 at 9am. On the 7th, [redacted] did not show up for her appointment. On Saturday the 8th she showed up for her appointment at 9am and not having [redacted] available the receptionist offered for her to see [redacted] The receptionist was unaware that she had previously had a dissatisfied service with her. [redacted] declined on having the service with her and left. I received a complaint regarding her mix up on her appointment. I spoke with her and she requested her money back. We agreed to her request and let her know that we would be refunding the money paid for the unused portion of her series of Shellacs. The check was mailed out on 4/10/14 (ck [redacted] for [redacted] with a letter of apology. She came in to Profilo on the 12th of April saying that she still did not receive the check. I confirmed the address that it was sent to, which is the same address as stated on the Document, and told her to let me know if she still didn't receive it. I did not hear back from her until the complaint from of 6 Shellac manicures purchased on 1/4/14 for [redacted] This breaks down each [redacted] service to be [redacted]1/4/14 used first of series with [redacted]1/18/14 used second of series with [redacted]2/22/14 had appointment with [redacted] and was not chargedTotal Value of series used is [redacted]Total of unused is [redacted]Check [redacted] for [redacted] was mailed on 4/10/14[redacted]Profilo Day Spa [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No check was ever received. They need to provide a proof I cashed it. I asked for full refund since the second manicure fell off before my public apoearance teaching a tutorial and presenting a paper at the RAMS symposium in colirado. There I held two days international standards meeting, attended a formal banquet and a dinner. All if it with some nails uncovered. Paid [redacted] ( checked on line) abd ask for it all back. Licensed cosmeticia. n in a couple of months after hired? Maybe but skk my nailcls chipped and cuticles bled. I work full time and the Friday was my wirk day. I do not take pto for manicure.
