Progressive Business Funding Reviews (%countItem)

If you wish to be robbed, call these lying, cheating people. They lied to us about a loan they gave us. They sold us a loan by lying and misrepresenting, and we found out after the fact that they are charging 65% interest. Matt Walsh was the person who lied and cheated us. After they cheated us into accepting the loan, they never answered any calls, when we found out about the FRAUD FOR PROFIT scheme, we contacted their office, only to be hung up on when we asked for management. If there was a way to give them zero stars, I would...
The person who gave them 5 stars is probably an employee or family member !!!

This company texted me 6 times on 12/13/18, 12/21/18, 1/15/19, 2/7/19, 3/25/2019 and 4/9/2019 from 626-45 offering business funding under a fake business name (First American Capital,) calling itself “The SBA Loans Dept,” when I have never given express prior written consent for them to do so. I sent them certified mail to demand they cease and desist, but they refused to accept the letter. They continue to harass me and I will go to the FCC if this complaint doesn't put an end to it.

Progressive Business Funding Response • May 28, 2019

Dear Hayden ***,
We have received your complaint and would like to assure you that we do take unsolicited marketing methods very seriously. We would like to apologize profusely for any unintentional solicitation. Progressive Business Funding works hard to maintain the integrity and privacy of its customers and prospects and acquire requisite permission to send any form of advertising.
In the case of yourself, we have verified through incoming audio recordings that in the past you requested, and we obtained proper permission to send you an application for our products and services. It appears we also received calls from your number most recently on 5/22/19 and 5/28/19.
Nevertheless, we have eliminated the issue in our database and have blocked your phone number and your provided “opt in” email authorization from receiving any and all information and marketing of any kind. Moving forward, we will ensure that our data partners and in-house lead generation processes and protocols ensure that our business prospects have been vetted.
In closing, we trust these measures will satisfy your complaint and prevent any future inadvertent communications and advertisements to you and your company.
Sincerely,
PBF, Inc. Customer Fulfillment

You texted me 6 times on 12/13/18, 12/21/18, 1/15/19, 2/7/19, 3/25/2019 and 4/9/2019 from 626-45.

I never gave any TCPA-compliant consent for these communications to be made to my cell phone number, which has been on the Do Not Call Registry since 2015.

If you have proof I provided TCPA-compliant consent to receive text messages from your company, please provide the permission I gave prior to 12/13/18.

You state that I called your business on 5/22/19. This was immediately after receiving 3 MORE back to back unsolicited marketing calls from your company from (858) 263-0210, AFTER your receipt of my initial communication regarding your TCPA violations, and was in no way a consent to receive autodialer/text communication. Screenshot attached.

You state that I called your business on 5/28/19. This call was my attempt to speak with a representative of your company in an attempt to resolve this matter before proceeding to a lawsuit, and potentially obtain class action status.

Video attached of how I discovered the offending communication was you: https://youtu.be/A8iCY35h9h8

In conclusion, I reject your claim that I provided consent and will proceed with litigation and report your adverse actions to all relevant authorities unless you can show me your alleged TCPA-compliant consent.

I look forward to resolving all of these matters in a reasonable time frame, and settling these claims with your company.

They will not stop calling me, emailing me, and will not stop texting me. They also fraudulently claim to be the SBA funding department as described in there spam text messages.

These people violate the DNC. They do so knowingly. They have dozens of complaints against them. Their staff simply hang up when you complain and continue to do it. Shut them down.

Gabe did an awesome job in helping me get some much needed funding for our business. Very helpful , knowledgeable and a great guy all around. Highly recommend them for your business funding.

This company is sending me text messages that I do not wish to receive. The messages imply that I have spoken to them in the past which is false. The texts are being sent to

Dear Mr. David ***,

We have removed the cell number *** from our database, please contact me personally if you have any questions regarding this matter.

On June 12, 2018, I received an unsolicited text advertisement from Progressive Business Funding. I have not given the federally required express, prior, written consent necessary for them to send me a text advertisement. As such, they have violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) which specifically bars the sending of such text advertisements. For the record, that statute carries a $500 statutory penalty per violation, and that amount is tripled if the violation is willful. Given that I am registered on the National Do Not Call Registry (DNC), and have been for some time, and the responsibility of "scrubbing" their lists of numbers to which advertisements are sent, this can only be deemed a willful violation. Moreover, the DNC also provides a statutory penalty of not less than $500 per violation, with that amount tripled in the event of a willful violation.

This company has broken the law, and I intend to see to it that they cease doing so, or face the consequences of doing so.

I never heard of this business, and never opted in to receive text message spam from them. Today I got a random message saying "It's Mike, w/Progressives SBA dearptIt's Mike, w/Progressive's SBA Dept. We still have your 250K Unsecured-Business Line of Credit Ready. Call 888-479-*** & Get Funded Today!

I reported this to the FCC.

This is not an acceptable response. You must cross check your database with the national do not call list, or this will likely happen again.

You had indicated that my record was mixed up with another individual in your database and that is why you sent me some text message spam.

• Why was my number in your database in the first place? I never requested a business loan, never communicated with your company in the past, and most importantly - never opted in to receive such text messages.

• Are you buying names from companies and sending out mass text messages? Unless individuals opt in, that's illegal. Violations are subject to a fine of $500 per message.

• Even if the "phone number was mixed up with another person" angle was true, based on the content of your text message spam - your company still violated FCC laws.

As you likely already know, consumers are being attacked with robocallers, spam, and text message spam more than ever before. If a company participates in such questionable marketing practices, they have to follow the requirements of the national do not call list.

I report and pursue every single robocall and text message spam message I get to the FCC. Your company broke the law, plain and simple, and should be required pay the fine. The fact that you didn't even acknowledge the national do not call list in your response leads me to believe that you aren't sincere about fixing the root cause of the problem.

To whom it may concern:

We have emailed the merchant in hopes of resolving the matter with clear and concise communication.

We are currently awaiting his response and feel another medium of communication will be more effective.

This is the message I got:

"We have emailed the merchant in hopes of resolving the matter with clear and concise communication.
We are currently awaiting his response and feel another medium of communication will be more effective. "

Is this what was intended to be sent to me? That's not a resolution or an answer.

The complaint is regarding unsolicited text message spam from Progressive Business Funding sent to my personal cell phone.

I worked with gianna in your del mar office. she was helpful and always a delight to talk to. I just want you to know you have a gem with gianna!!!!!

They took my private info on their loan application and never returned my emails following up on the loan. This could easily be a scam and lead to identity theft.

They flood my fax with unwanted and false faxes. How can you give companies an A rating when they are scammers and liars? They send messages like "We spoke in July..." when we never spoke. I received faxes on: 3/5/18, 12/5/17, 10/4/17, 11/1/16 and 9/27/16. They send from different phone numbers so I can't easily block their spam.

Progressive Business Funding Response • Mar 20, 2018

Dear Mr.,

ear Mr.,
I would like to apologize to you and your entity on behalf of our company for any unwanted solicitation or intrusion via fax or any other form of unwanted advertising. Progressive Business Funding goes to great lengths to ensure we obtain the required and legal opt-in permissible for fax transmissions and works hard to maintain the integrity of the TCPA and privacy of its customers and prospects.
I have reviewed your complaint and the fax number ending (1091) has indeed been removed from our CRM database and direct mail has been suspended indefinitely.
I have eliminated your company landline ending (1090) manually and it has been placed on our internal Do Not Call list and you will never receive correspondence from our entity in the future.
Again, I would like to apologize for the mistake and if you have any future or current concerns regarding this matter you may contact me directly @ (858) 519-8542 or ***@progressivebusinessfunds.com.

Sincerely

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Thank you for the prompt attention. I appreciate as well the business's attention to this as well.

Regards

The company keeps sending faxes that sometimes arrive at nights at our time on the East Coast. We have a do-not-call number which is also the fax number.
After repeat receipts I did call their "to be removed" number on 1/6/2017 at 10:45 m. I now received another fax.
During the day this disturbs business and their faxes at night disturb sleep.
I would appreciate for this type of harassment to stop.

Progressive Business Funding Response • Mar 13, 2018

Dear Dr.

I have researched your complaint and for some reason we don't even have your file or information in our database. I am thoroughly perplexed as to how we even have you included in our automated marketing campaigns. I looked up the information you provided the Revdex.com online and that is how I was able to determine you are indeed a medical professional.

Furthermore, I would like to apologize profusely for the unwanted intrusion; the fact that you tried to remove yourself from future solicitations and were unsuccessful is not acceptable. We update our DNC lists daily and sadly both technology and the human element can sometimes fall short of the objective.

Additionally, all of our calls and transmissions would be during business hours, I am dumbfounded how you received a fax at 8:00 PM in the evening. This is a first and we will certainly trouble shoot that problem to ensure it never happens again.

I have PERSONALLY BLOCKED your number ending in (9087) at the provider level as to ensure you never receive a call, fax, or any direct mail or correspondence from us in the hereinafter. Again, I apologize for the intrusion and the delay in addressing your complaint as I have been out with some health issues the last two weeks.

If I can assist you further in resolving this matter, please contact me personally @ 858-519-*** or at the email provided with this correspondence.

Sincerely

BEWARE people of this company. I have never initiated any contact with them, but yet it continues to send me unwanted text messages, handwritten fax messages soliciting business lines of credit and loans that are "pre-approved" or "the funds have been set aside for your business". I reply stop and cancel to the text messages and they continue to send them. The fax messages at the bottom have a phone number to call and then enter your fax number to be removed from their call list. That doesn't work either. It also provides a fax number to reply to to be removed, that doesn't work either. I tried calling the number to reply to the faxes. Andrew said I had to contact a different number. He couldn't remove me. Every time I get a fax, text message there is a different contact phone number. Blocking the text messages on my phone doesn't work because of that. The interest rate(s) quoted on their faxes are very low to entice you to call them. Once you call its a whole different story. The rates they charge are outrages. In the 30's, 40's and 50's%.
This should be illegal if it is not already. So, please BEWARE people. I don't know how you could pay back money borrowed at those kind of rates. All of my efforts to ask them to leave me alone have failed so far.

This company continues to text my 12-year-old that she has a $250,000 unsecured business line of credit ready. Not exactly the kind of organization I would do any business with.

Company sends unsolicited fax advertising to our business. After an unsolicited fax advertisement on 9/19/2017, we asked the company to remove our fax number from their list. On 11/20/2017, we received a second unsolicited fax advertisement from this same company.

This entity is a prime example of the "predatory" landing - after a few days of checking and rechecking I - who has 6-digits salary and credit rating close to 800 - received "congratulation letter" with the following rates: 6 mos - 48%, 12 mos - 37%, and 16 mos - 52.5%. I wasn't even angry, I simply laughed because this kind of rates are simply beyond real.

They will approve you for a crazy( in our case, in which we said no) interest rate of 45%, to be paid back daily!! What kind of loan company is this?!

The loan process was very quick and painless and it was honestly a pleasure working with Donald. I will definitely reach out again if we need anything further!
