Not the cheapest but the quality of service and workmanship are second to none! From start to finish it was great to work with Progressive Concrete Beau is very knowledgeable and more than willing to explain the idiosyncrasies of the concrete business more than oncefor those of us who are curious He is a take control, energetic, detail oriented guy who does a great job in an efficient, reliable manner I would definitely recommend him

We recently decided to upgrade and redesign our back yard In doing so we were referred to Progressive Concrete to do our new Deck I cannot say anything except WOW! The owner, Beau, personally came and although we had a design in mind he gave us some amazing ideas and after feeling confident of his knowledge and expertise we said yes Within hours, his workers came and prepped the area, (being extremely careful with moving things around), kept the site neat and clean as they prepped and got ready to pour the new deck They came the next day to remove the forms and did their finishing magic and our backyard looks amazingThey did many things above and beyond what we expected to help make our backyard more desirable and left our property spotlessWe have had a steady stream of neighbours wanting various areas around their homes to be done as well Beau and his workers were amazing and I would highly recommend them for any work you made consider They definitely went above and beyond any expectation I ever had Thank you and I look forward to the next project to do our driveway and walkway

Just a little info on myselfI'm an avid Dwho has added a 1600sqft floor addition to the back side of the houseMy motto is if "I a contractor can do it so can I"My back ground is in industrial controls/ project execution for a large companySo back to my situationstarted this driveway/walkway/patio project at the beginning of after all the construction was"finished"Since I work full time and have kids to tend to as well, it took me until June/July to get my forming and grading to about 90%Next I did some research online to find a reputable company to come out and quote concrete placing and finishingI called a couple of large a companies, one in Surrey and one in BurnabyThe one from Surrey came out took the measurements but never followed up with the quoteThe one from Burnaby said they only do Re & Re( removal & replace) and probably because I'm a DIY-er
Placed a couple of other calls with a third and fourth and never even got a call backFinally we are rolling into early November and I give Progressive a shotI tell Progressive I was looking for a quote complete the prep work and to place and finishSounds a little hesitant probably because it is a DIY special but agrees to meet me after he is done that day with another pour he is doingAs promised, Progressive shows up and I find out that I'm talking to Beau the ownerBeau does the walk around and does some measuring, inspects my forms and grading I tell Beau that due to timing I needed a quote for finish grading, compact and rebar as well as place and finishHe says yes he can do it but he has to markup his price and he tells me honestly that since I'm almost finished the work myself I might as well save the money just do it myselfHe rattled off some rough numbers for rebar, 3grand for steel and for labour So before I called up Beau I actually measured out my sqft and I calculated So when Beau is finished with his measurements, he tells me I actually went back and remeasured as I'm am never that off on calc but found out Beau was pretty spot onI recalculated to Ok back on it....Beau tells me total price and what's includedplacing finishingpump truckssaw cuts over days ( for pour and for cuts)Grading, compacting and steel by meI did some rough calculations in my head The quote seems a little high but still reasonableAnother thing you need to know about me is that being a Dyou think all things as far as labour is expensiveLolI agree to the price and we tentatively look at the weather forecast and pencil in a rough dateBeau tells me right of the bat that because of this time of year with weather being so uncooperative that we may or may have everything complete by year endLater that evening, he sends me weather network screen shot of the forecast for the next weeks and indicates the week of the 20th as a good gap in the bad weather( less than 1mm 10% precip)As the date gets closer checks in on me to see if the compaction and steel work is on schedule and does another walk aroundTells me Sat is latest day I can tell him if it is a go or no go for the upcoming Monday pourCheck the weather network and still say good so I give Beau the green light
Ok pour day crews & pump shows up as discussedGuys prep and do a final check on the forms for proper gradeThings are going great weather is holding up for the most partAs they are finishing weather starts to turnBeau is not pleased and does his best to mitigate issues the slight drizzle is causing to the finishApologizes to me but I know I can't fault him for things out of his controlAfter the pour that day we both decide to hold off until we get better weatherMeanwhile pour is done the guys come back as discussed to complete the saw cutsCouple weeks later Beau contacts me and we see The week of dec 4th as a good windowKnowing what I know now I tell Beau Wed the 6th as the day to do pour noCrew and pump show up on time as discussed and weather is perfectThe guys prep and Beau goes over the concrete order with me to make sure we are not short
The placed and finishBeau tells me he's going to provide a machine finish vs hand floating as it will look better for your front drive way and would do it for no added costEnd of day the guys are gone and I'm out just cleaning up around the yard and neighbours and strangers stop to chat to me about how beautiful the driveway looksOne girl told me she took some pics of the driveway because how the "sun glistened off the swirls left by the machining" The guys came back as discussed to do the final saw cutsI was sick that day so Beau took the opportunity ask for my inputs on what I want to see for linesBeau suggested some extra cuts as it would look better visuallyI agreed and the guys took their time to make sure the lines where straight and squareThey did their cuts and went around to patch up some issues created when it rained on the last pourAfter the saw cuts the guys pressured washed the driveway and sidewalk

We highly recommend Beau and his team at Progressive Concrete We needed a square foot concrete pad with a lowered section for our hot tub, below our deckBeau responded right away and with great courtesy to our phone call, came to the site to check out the job exactly when he said he would, and gave us a quote for the job that he stuck by (even with some changes along the way) He helped the other trades with the tasks they needed to do as part of getting the pad done Showed up with his crew and equipment and got the job done very well, on exactly the timeline we needed and he told us he would do Fantastic job!
