Wont call me back after leaving three messages seperated by three weeks. About something seriously wrong with my shower. Long story short: I was burned by the shower in the apartment (badly still have pics of my puffy red face, measured the temps went from 4 degrees Celsius to 98 degrees in less than 30 sec.), I tried to call the company but was left to answering machines on their "emergency line" (of which nobody answered? right?!) as I work the same times as everybody else and cannot take time off to make calls as I work in a very dangerous job ([redacted] After a WEEK of waiting for a reply, I called the main office back and left another message KINDLY urging them to call me back to sort this out as that (shower) has just unsafe temperatures [redacted] I waited ANOTHER WEEK and left yet another message. In the meantime I contacted my building supervisor and kindly asked him why there were no replies back from the company, or what was up with the water... No good answers and just a "thats life in an apartment building". [redacted] the supervisor is the only reason I am not escalating the situation because he does work really hard and I know he is not to blame and is held up by what the company permits "is necessary". I finally got off work early to try to contact them in person in the main office (something I should not have to do, when do I get my lost wages back? never...), low and behold theres no one there (420pm). So at this point im considering moving out of the apartment because of the lack of effort put in on their part (this building was amazing when the old company managed it). I know what its like to try your best and it not be enough for a client ( I assure you this is not the case). But they aren't even trying. On the eve I paid my rent I included YET ANOTHER MESSAGE commenting on the fact that I have yet to hear from anybody. Thats 3 weeks, 4 contact attempts (5 if you include me trying to take time off work to sort this out) and not a single phone call, email, message in my mailbox. So at this point im asking myself if this company even manages the building because you would think they would leave a message, email, heck, ill take a note slipped under the door just saying that they are TRYING to look into this. They have no problem taking rent money of which I tried holding back to spark a phone call (not obsessively so) , that didnt work either but not a care in the world about customer relations or anything, never mind their OBLIGATION as a managing company of apartments. [redacted] Business Response This issue has now been resolved effective February 9th. Unfortunately, between discussion between office staff and the site manager, the problem was incorrectly diagnosed and was thought to be a normal temperature fluctuation happening in the apartment building, as temperature fluctuations similar to these are not uncommon. A message was received, we then spoke to our site manager, who advised that these types of temperature fluctuations happened due to the size of the apartment building. Due to only messages at the office, and never speaking with the client directly, and in person, the details that would have alerted us to the correct resolution of this problem, were not available.I did receive a note with the rent payment, which I received a few days prior to speaking with the tenant in person at my office, however there was no indication in that note that there were anything urgent, and no mention of needed maintenance. It was a general comment that they didn't speak to us yet. Upon speaking with the client on February 9th, the problem was re-evaluated by the office staff, and the required maintenance people were dispatched, an appointment booked, and the repair has now been completed. We have additionally followed up after several days have passed since the repair, to ensure that the repair has adequately corrected the problem. We've been advised that everything is now working normally. Please note, all the above events occurred prior to my finding out that this complaint had been issued. I received this on my desk yesterday afternoon, and as mentioned everything has already been rectified at that time.We do value this clients tenancy, and hope that this resolves the issue, and would like them to know that we value their business, and want to ensure that they are happy and comfortable in their rental home.Please let me know if there's anything else that I've missed.Thank you for your assistance with the above.[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Thank you for looking into this Progressive. I am happy this is resolved and look forward to future encounters.
