Progressive Suspension

Review: On May 5th, while on an extended motorcycle trip [from New York State], I hit a slight bump in the town of Conway, Arkansas, and my Progressive shocks, which cost me $629 in 2009, broke completely apart. When I reported this to Progressive, I was offered a set of obsolete BLACK 440's which had been "sitting in the back of a pick-up truck, having been to a swap meet." This would not have helped me one bit since I was traveling, was refused the option of having them over-nighted, and subsequently was delayed on departure while Harley-Davidson ordered the parts.Fortunately, since I had just come from the highway from Little Rock to Conway, I was not hurt,an incident which would have very likely caused my death or serious injury. However,due to the [lifetime warranty] shocks' breakage, my rear tire and wiring harness were shredded and had to be replaced, costing me a total of $1293.40 at Landers Harley-Davidson. Additionally, we were unable to spend the last night on the road at a friend's house, costing an additional $69.89, for a total (from this incident) of $1363.29, which I am requesting from Progressive.I do have all the paperwork, including the original invoice for my purchase of Progressive shocks, and photos of the broken shocks, both on and off my motorcycle. Additionally, Landers Harley-Davidson is shipping the broken shocks to me.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of $1363.29 from Progressive.
