At this time, I have been contacted...

directly by Proline Chimney Service regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:After numerous calls and texts to Proline, I was contacted by [redacted] on January [redacted], at which time he informed me that he is going out of business.I told him I want my money back, which has not happened.  I heard from Westchester County's Consumer Protection [redacted]?).  I told the inspector about the response and he recommended that I report it to the [redacted] Police.  On January [redacted] I reported the incident to the [redacted] PD.  They were also going to try and track it down from their end.  I gave them a copy of the bank statement showing that the check was cashed.  My wife was going to get a copy of the cancelled check from the bank this week and I printed the text messages.  Unfortunate My wife has been sick this week and we haven't gotten the information to the police.  I received a message from Westchester County last night that they have Proline scheduled to come in on February [redacted] if he show's up.  In my mind the guy committed fraud and stole my money.  He cashed the check the same day and ran.   I had a business for 10 years and never did I treat any of my customers like this.  It's truly sad how depraved society has become these days.  No honor, no honesty and no craftsmanship.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I hired Proline Chimney Service to install a new chimney chase cover and cap on November **, 2014. At that time I wrote Proline a check for $400 for material to be ordered. After numerous phone calls I get an ansewered call on or about December **, 2014. [redacted] said he would call me back in an hour. Never heard back. On the December **, 2014, I called and texted him numerous times and finally got an email that he was in Florida tending to a personnal matter. To date, I have $400 in his poossession and Proline has failed to do the work.Desired Settlement: I want a certified check for the $400 deposit that I gave Proline.

Review: I hired [redacted] from Proline Chimney to clean the chimney of our new home that we moved into 2 weeks ago.

There were numerous semi-excusable flubs during his visit, but the most upsetting is the large amount of soot left befhind covering the slate in front of our fireplace that we need not discover until a couple of hours after [redacted] had left. We became aware after my daughters clothes were blackened along with her hands and feet. We began to see soot on our new chairs, sofa and rug. I called [redacted] immediatley and asked him to return my call ASAP. He replied by texts that I are highly un-professional and what I consider to be abusive. I have saved all of the communication with [redacted] and taken pictures of the amount of debris created and left behind after our "cleaning". [redacted] was at our home for under 30 minutes while he vacuumed our chimney from below only. Just a mere amount of time was spent vacuuming, most of it was spent preparing and his explanation of all of the things we needed to buy that could ONLY be bought from him, exclaiming that it was impossible for the general public to access the things he suggested.Desired Settlement: I would like at least a partial, or perhaps a full refund. A partial refund would cover the discarding of soiled clothes, acknowledge the time and materials used to clean the soiled areas and full refund would go to pay for a proper cleaning, which I don't believe we received after calling other chimney cleaning providers and described the services that were rendored, therefore it seems it needs to be repeated.
