I promised my sales representative that I would write a positive review after my move was delivered and everything went as promised and it did! She mentioned that if I had additional items, it would be an additional cost. I gave an exact, detailed inventory of my entire 3-bedroom home in Michigan, and my price remained the same! She informed me exactly how to pack every item, and what to expect. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism I received with American National and those who have had bad experiences must have lacked information with the representative in my opinion. I would most definitely recommend them on your move, and take notes!

I recently used American National Van Lines for the SECOND time on my move. First was a long distance from another state, and this time we used them to coordinate a move about 4 hours from Orlando down to Miami. Despite what other peoples reviews say, my experience was wonderful! I had the sales rep [redacted] both times, and both times he fulfilled the promises he made. I want to congratulate this company on running an honest business. I will most definitely be using them again if I happen to relocate for the 3rd time.
This company went above and beyond to inform me of everything to expect and how to better prepare myself for the move. At first I thought that they were being rather tedious in explaining every detail- but on move day, if it were not for them, I would have been lost, and most likely broke from the movers "packing prices". Needless to say I was fully prepared and packed and had no extra charges. Highly recommended to all my friends and family.
These guys are not real movers, they are just brokers who book your move with real moving carriers for a fee of $445. (Just to find a moving carrier company on your behalf) I didn't know that these guys are brokers until I received a call from the real movers and they told me that that they received a request for my move. Dealing with these guys was a terrible experience. They don't care about your move once they receive their fee from the customers. I called several times and sent emails to the person who booked my move and none of them were responsive and nothing was practical with what they had promised me at the time of booking. Very bad experience with my moving and it was totally a big mess-up. I lost a lot of items and they delivered broken parts, missing parts. On top of it, the carrier guys charged me an additional 20% for extra volume because they sent a wrong estimate to the carrier. They don't even know how to estimate the volume based on your inventory.
Once you pay their fees they don't even care who you are. My stuff was in the warehouse for two weeks after pickup and the movers didn't pickup or deliver my apartment stuff as scheduled and It's been more than two months from the date I booked my move with these guys and I didn't receive my missing stuff as of today.
I don't recommend this company for any of your moving needs at all. Please spend some time on the internet and find the real movers who will make your move professionally on your scheduled time.
I will NEVER use American National Van Lines, Inc. again!. This company almost screwed me entirely this past weekend. I had planned to move with them from NYC to Boston this past weekend. When the driver arrived at my home he asked for half of the price of the move as a down payment for the move (after I had already paid 33% of the total price of my move with my debit card online. The driver also told me that my items will not be delivered to my home that day and that they would be delivered at a later date. This surprised me very much because I was told on the telephone by one of their representatives that I could drive behind the truck until we get to my place at which time I would pay another 33% and pay the final 33% after my furniture had been set up in the my new apartment.
I ended up moving my stuff to the Boston with help from my best friend. I will NEVER use the American National Van Lines, Inc. or recommend it to anyone!!!
Overall it was a good experience. The driver did charge an extra $100 because I was located on the second level of the apartment I moved from. I had planned to give $100 as a tip for a job well done so I had budgeted for this amount. The two men loaded and unloaded everything within a couple of hours. I do wish I would have had them reconnect my washer and dryer for me before they left.
They were quick to organise our time and communicated well. They turned up on time and called before they arrived.
The team were efficient at packing the truck, especially great since we were moving out of a shared household and so there was quite a bit of instruction on what was going and what was staying.
The team were very respectful of our belongings, all the fragile items arrived in good condition. At the destination they moved each set of boxes or furniture directly into the room they were needed. They even took the care to roll out our rugs before moving in any furniture. Recommended.
I just moved from NY to Arizona. I picked the most economical way and after reading reviews about brokers I was afraid but decided to take a chance. I chose this company because of Jenna O.. After speaking with several brokers Jenna was the only one that answered all my questions and explained the pricing and how to time the pickup so I would receive my items around my requested date. Jenna was prompt at answering emails and took my calls also. The trucking company she got to do the move arrived on time to pick up and they were professional and appreciated how I had packed and taped everything. They wrapped my furniture items in blankets and plastic. The items were delivered when requested and the same 22 boxes, 11 plastic bins and nine other items I had sent are here and fine. I have no complaints and was so relieved after reading the horror stories on line. I am writing this review to say if you want white glove treatment you will pay at least twice the amount. This choice was great for me!! Thanks Jenna and Promasters Movers!!
I used this company American National to relocate my mother from Coral Springs FL to Portland OR. I was actually referred to them by a colleague who knows the owner personally.
This company took a detailed inventory of my items once I reserved. Then they called me after they reserved on the week of the move to get a more accurate box count where I almost doubled the inventory.
This company was very professional, honest, and not only was the customer service extraordinary, but the moving crew themselves were extremely professional. They would not even accept my TIP!!!
I highly recommend them, and wish that more people with a positive moving experience would take the time to write reviews to help out the owner of this company.

Originally when I moved with them I had complained about their lack of customer service, and they assured me they were making major changes and if/when I moved again I would receive half off of my move and TOP RATED customer service. BOY were they right! They moved my things back up to New York for about $1000, and I purposely became a pain in the neck to test their customer service. They were great. [redacted] is the new customer service manager and he bends over backwards to accommodate all of his customers. I would highly recommend this company to any of my friend of family going forward.
