Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/27) */
On August 15, 2015 the client [redacted] came to our shop stating that her car was having issues, which caused her to be stranded. The issue being the vehicle shakes really bad while driving. When asked to bring her car into the shop she...

advised us she was nervous about turning because she didn't want to further damage the vehicle. The vehicle was then driven into the shop and while turning a loud popping noise was clearly heard. While revising the location of the noise(front passenger side), the mechanic immediately noticed the tire was capable of being moved freely back and forward 2 to 3 inches (while in park also car did not roll while moving the tire just specific tire moved). So the mechanic continued to revised area and noticed control arm bushings were damaged and the CV axle was severely damaged as well. At this time the client was shown the damage of the vehicle and was advised the tire is not supposed to move in such a way let alone drive in these conditions. So we gave her the estimate to fix these damaged parts she then advised us that a previous mechanic from her home town Bakersfield CA had given her a estimate to change all four struts on her vehicle for $400 dollars, which she advised needed to be changed as well. So the Client requested a estimate on how much it would be to change all 4 struts plus the damaged parts we advised her were no good. The price that was agreed upon was $583.28. After the job was done the mechanic [redacted] took the car for a test drive and realized the vehicle didn't shake anymore but a loud noise was coming from the bottom of the vehicle. So when [redacted] returned he let the client know he needed to raise the vehicle on the hoist and revise the noise. When revised [redacted] noticed the noise originating from inside the transmission and let the client hear the noise so she can know where the noise was coming from. At this point [redacted] let her know the vehicle had no differential fluid so he let the client know he was going to put fluid back in the differential to see how the vehicle would react. So [redacted] tested again and the noise didnt go away letting the client know the vehicle is not safe to drive because the transmission was not working properly but the client still wanted to take the vehicle. So we had to document the condition of the vehicle which was not safe to drive .
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The vehicle was click LOUD. The transmission was the problem the whole time and he misdiagnosed it. His D grade should say something.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/09/10) */
We fixed the shaking problem that the client mentioned and she also stated she was supposed to have suspension maintenance done to her vehicle but she hasn't so we checked suspension which lead us to find the damaged parts
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/09/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The major clicking was my transmission. I spent near $1300 after having my car towed home, which was the accurate problem.
