Our company, Properly Tied, was an exhibitor at the [redacted] in Jackson, MS in November of 2017 where the customer purchased a tshirt 'special' of buy 2, get a 3rd free. Two of the three the customer selected were out of stock in the appropriate sizes at the time of purchase and we would...

informed her that we would ship them once they were restocked. These items were then shipped via FedEx (which the customer was given tracking # for), and delivered in under 2 days from our facility with FedEx confirmation showing delivered in [redacted], MS. Several weeks later we received notification (attached) of a chargeback from the customer's issuing credit card company stating that the customer had filed a chargeback and we were deducted the payment amount and the chargeback fee associated with the action by the customer. Customer did not reach out to us to notify that the shipment had not been received. We reached out to the customer after we received the notification of the chargeback to see why she would have filed considering that the tracking details showed deliver and that the package was shipped in a timely manner. Customer told us that she disputed the transaction because she did not receive even though all details showed she had (plus the one shirt that she did get in person, which was also taken back from us). From this point, the funds have been taken from us by her card company and she is requesting that we re-ship the goods with no new method of payment (money was never reversed back to us by the card company as it was removed from her CC statement as we were informed by said company). Had the customer have contacted us via the methods listed on both our website and all receipts she received at the [redacted], she would not have charged back the amount and we together would have worked with FedEx to see where the package may have ended up if she indeed did not receive. At this point, the customer has received her reversed funds from us (by way of the chargeback) and kept the shirt (now for free that was received in person) and our company has lost not only the cost of the 3 shirts, but also the shipping cost of the 2 that we shipped. We aim to ensure a great customer experience for all and are saddened by the way this has been handled, but due to the funds being reversed, we have no other method of recourse.
