could not make out the name on the money order but could only read the unit #, so it was applied to the current resident account and not the old account of Ms. [redacted]. We have corrected the mistake and apologized for any inconvenience this mistake has caused. This email is in regards to ID #[redacted]. I apologize for the delayed response as I have been off of work since August 1st due to a new baby and just going through mail now on my first day back. I did pull the resident file and the residents have given the required 60 day notice on...

8/1/16 to vacate on 9/30/16, but have since renewed as of 89/10/16. We do keep copies of the rental verifications we complete in each file, so I was able to see that one of our leasing agents completed a rental verification for these residents on what looks like 7/29/16. She did complete the rental verification according to what our account ledger had listed. In the length of tenancy (7/8/14 to present) they have been late 13 times and filed on for eviction for non-payment of rent 3 times which were all paid in full and dismissed. Copies of all late letters and/or eviction filings go to each units door and are saved in their files. She did not list a balance due at the time the form was completed. She did list that there were damaged blind charges for replaced blinds. She also did list that they have a dog- husky mix. She also noted that we do not know the condition of the current unit until move-out, but that they did have damages from their pet from when they transferred from a prior unit. I do not see where they had any damage charges from their pets, so this person did make a mistake there. I’m not sure if they confused the pet charges for damages, or why they had listed that as they no longer are employed with us. If they would like to have a rental verification re-sent and to my attention, I can complete and explain the error to the property, but all other information listed by my leasing agent is listed correct. In regards to the quotations that were stated that apparently I had said, those quotations are not true. We obviously encourage our residents to renew, but we do not do anything to stop them from leaving or giving their notice to vacate. Our staff must complete any rental verifications according to what the account file and/or ledger states. As stated earlier, these residents had given notice, and are able to vacate on or before 9/30/16 if they would like to retract their renewal recently submitted on 8/10 and continue with their original notice to vacate.
