Property Radar Reviews (10)

I signed up for a free 3 day trial and when I tried canceling I kept getting a 501 error. I contacted Property Radar a couple of hours into the next day and explained what happened and that I needed to cancel. I was met by an unprofessional and rude response. I never would have signed up for this service, especially since the information they provide can be gotten for free through Title. And the info I got through them didn't match what I got through Title either. After reading the other reviews here, it looks like I'm not the only one that had issues when it came to canceling.

I am rejecting this response because:
I never received that email, but regardless, the bottom line is, PropertyRadar automatically charged me $for future services that I repeatedly told them that I was not going to use and have no use forAs soon as I saw the charge, I cancelled immediately, closed the account, and asked for a refund for the remaining future unused monthsI am being charged until the November 2016, for an account that is cancelled, closed, and that I am no longer using
Unlike other companies, when you cancel future services, they will refund you for the unused remaining monthsThis company despite how many times I have told them I have literally no use for their service, my account is closed, and cancelled, and I am not using the service at all for the year 2016, the company is still going to keep my money based on greed

I am rejecting this response because:
I was paying PropertyRadar month to month until I got a call from a PropertyRadar representative for a yearly subscription discount. This was for the year November 2014 to November 2015. However, I was never informed of an annual automatic renewal. I was never told over the phone, I never signed any documents, or received any notifications in the mail or over email that I was going to be charged indefinitely every year automatically. I saw a charge in December 2015 for $566.40. I called PropertyRadar immediately only to find out that I was automatically charged the annual subscription for 2016. I immediately cancelled my account because I would no longer need their services for 2016.
PropertyRadar is adamant on keeping my $566.40 for the year 2016 without any notification that my credit card would be automatically charged every year, and for services I am not using, and will not use at all.  Since my account is cancelled, I am not using their website, and will not use it, so my money is basically free money in their pocket. It was cancelled in December 2015, so there are 11 months of service that I was charged for and am not using. I did not ask for the entirety of the $566.40, I only asked for a refund for the remaining unused 11 months.
I had no more use for the service and made it very clear to the representatives that I would not be using the website at all. However, they said they could close my account, but it would remain active, so that I could still use it.  I repeatedly told them that I do not have any more use for it.
I even reached out to the owner personally over [redacted] and explained my side of the story, and he was very rude and angry and said that I wasted his time.
This is the only company that refuses to issue a refund despite not using their services anymore. Every other company that I’ve dealt with in the past issues refunds for unused services. PropertyRadar is a company based off of greed.

I am rejecting this response because: This company does not want to meet me half way on this. All they are doing is referring me to the tutorial guide and price list. This is the exact reason why I was mislead. First of all, I was mislead when I tried out the tutorial. I clicked on the first one with a video which is titled "EVERYONE." When you click on the video titled "EVERYONE" it takes you to the dashboard (which has all of the features lit up) and the gentleman begins to describe all of the different features and how best to use them. Never once does he say that some of the features will not be available if you don't have the highest level package. I assumed all of those features would be available to me as the video is labeled "everyone." Then as you click on different videos, some for investors, some just general, he shows you all of the neat things you can do with their site, a lot of times he is mobile and showing how to use the functions when you are on the go. As far as the videos for investors, I assumed I would be able to do the things he was showing me as I purchased the mid-level plan, not the high level plan which said it was for real estate agents (not being an agent, why would I purchase that one? Why is it that a simple non agent investor can't have functions which allow you to be a diligent investor? ). So I assumed I was considered an investor and would be able to duplicate what he was doing. However it turns out that its not the case, I had even less functions than the lower package, overall. So when I passed my tutorial period, I figured that I would be using the program, having watched the tutorials I was excited to start using all of those functions. When I attempted to use the program "on the go" on my smart phone, it did not load properly and I was not able to use the program, then I noticed I only had 2 icons lit up. After emailing this company I learned that I only had access to those functions, I had been completely mistaken on what it was I thought I was purchasing, apparently. I told them I wanted to cancel (on their pricing list it says you can CANCEL AT ANYTIME) leading me to believe that I could indeed cancel at anytime and receive my unpaid portion. Why else would they mention twice on their payment page that you can CANCEL AT ANYTIME if after the three days you are liable for the whole first month? What does it matter if you cancel any time after that, you still have to PAY for the whole month.  There is no clear return policy which makes it known to the buyer that they do NOT offer refunds. As far as the pricing structure, I am confused as to why the middle package has LESS functions than the lower package, I thought that as you upgrade the packages you would receive MORE functions, not less. The company is very confusing on their policy and what they offer for the prices. If you do not have the highest package you will find it very difficult to get all of the information needed to be a diligent investor. However the highest package is for "professionals" so I was lead to believe I wouldn't need that package as I am not an agent, just an investor. I believe the company is misleading on their information. For this company to reject the notion that some people may have confusion is wrong.

I signed up for a free trial with property radar. I am VERY displeased with the whole operation. I signed up on a Friday. After logging in I was not able to access the site or navigate through the site. Everytime I made an attempt it would kick me out and give me a message saying "the app was not supported" I never got a chance to utilize the site. After the weekend on the FIRST AVAILABLE business day (Monday) I reached out to the company to cancel my subscription. I did not receive a response. I then sent another email. I received a response at 2:55am. When I first emailed the company my credit card had not been charged. The next day my credit card was charged STILL. I contacted them AGAIN regarding a refund and they refused. Told me they don't issue refunds. This was the worse experience I have ever had with a company as well as customer service. They are more a scam than they are a benefit. They don't even take accountability for their mistakes. If you can avoid them please do so! There are plenty more companies that can offer more and better than what they claim to offer.

Hi,

I started a free trial last week and I signed up for a call back from customer support to cancel the free trial before it ended on Saturday. I signed up for call back on Friday and never got a response! I also did the same thing today when I came back into work and still no call back! I do not wish to continue the services with Property Radar. Please note, this is for my boss' account and not my own. I have not been able to get ahold of any customer rep and he has not received any emails from Property Radar about the account. Please contact me to cancel the account so you don't charge his credit card.

Review: Property Radar cheated me by charging my credit card $566.40 automatically without my consent and refused to give me a refund after cancellation for the remaining 11 months that I will not use.

Last year, I was contacted by a Property Radar employee who offered a discounted price if I paid for a full year. He never told me that I will get charged automatically every year for the same amount, and if I decided to cancel, they will not give me a refund. In addition, I never received any e-mails from the company, telling me that they will automatically charge my card, but they claim that they did send it to me.

I had many big companies charge my credit card automatically every year, but when I call to cancel my services with them, they ALL without hesitation gave me a full refund for the months of services that I would not have used.

Property Radar automatically charged my card for a full year membership starting from November 2015 through November 2016. I called in December to cancel this annual subscription, and requested a refund for the remaining 11 months that I am no longer going to use. They said they have very strict refund policies, and would only offer a 2 month refund, or 11 months of credit if I re-open my account in the future. I feel I have been cheated.

I have e-mailed back and forth with them ten times, I even reached out to the owner [redacted] on [redacted], and they absolutely refused to give me a refund. In all their e-mails they continually said that I had been actively using their site, therefore they won't issue me a refund. Of course I was active, I had paid for those months that I was active. The refund in question is for the future months that I will not be using, now that I have already closed my account. There are 11 months remaining that I was charged for, which I will no longer be using, since I closed my account.

They literally took money for services for the whole year of 2016, that I am not going to use since I had already closed my account in 12/2015.Desired Settlement: I want a refund $519.20 (credit back to my credit card) for the 11 months of services that I will no longer use since cancellation of the account.

PropertyRadar.com is a subscription based service. All of our subscriptions auto renew at the end of each billing cycle. This customer, [redacted], had a monthly subscription that started on 6/16/14 at a rate of $39/month. The account remained active with monthly billings of $39 on 6/16, 7/16, 8/18, 9/16, and 10/16/14. On 11/16 the account closed due to failed charge to the credit card on file. November 17 2014, [redacted] contacted our customer support with questions on entering a new credit card to reactivate the account. [redacted] agreed to active our annual subscription which includes a discounted rate of 20% for this annual prepaid subscription ($566.40). On November 18, 2015 this annual subscription auto renewed (as all our subscriptions do) and charged to customer. December 14th, 2015, which is past the renewal date, [redacted] contacted our customer support to cancel the subscription. The subscription was cancelled and email confirmation was sent stated the account would remain active through the time in which was paid ending 11/17/16. All of our subscriptions are nonrefundable which is disclosed in our user agreement.

Review: When I cancelled the free trial within the time frame on their website they said they never received it and charge me anyway and would not refund. They asked for documentation that I sent in the request. It's impossible due to their website form and they do not have an easily accessed email or phone number. It seems like it is a scam to make all people trying their service at least one month at $59.00.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

We have spoken with [redacted] regarding this charge and in good faith we are refunding this charge in hopes he will return as a paying customer in the future. Our website provides easy access for customers to contact us via email and request a phone call. We checked all logs and there is no record of any cancellation request from [redacted] prior to today 10/21/15. PropertyRadar is not a SCAM and the terms of our free trial are clearly stated and must be agreed to in the order to complete the registration process. Please review this response and remove any negative rating against PropertyRadar.com. Thank you for your time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They sent me a refund as requested.

Review: I signed up for Foreclosureradar.com they allow you 3 days to "try out the service" before they charge you the $49.99. When I was looking at the site during my trial period, I would watch different videos which showed all the things you could do with the website. I watched about 10 different videos, they showed how you could search for properties on your tablet while you were out on the road and all the different ways you could use the system. I was very intrigues and decided to go ahead and purchase the system. However, when I went to try and use the system with my smart phone, I got nothing but error reports, I could not use the program. Then I noticed that only 2 icons were lit up, the majority of the icons I could not click on. I emailed them and they told me I did not have access to all of the other features that I would have to upgrade my account in order to get them. I said I only purchased the product to use those services and that I thought I would be able to access it on my smart phone just like I saw on the videos but they said there was no partial refunds or total refunds, regardless of the fact that I couldn't use their product as it was intended and that I thought it was misleading to have all those how-to videos which did not mention that you had to have a certain subscription to use them. If I could use the product as I had intended I would be more than happy to keep it. The people at Foreclosureradar did not offer anything to me except to charge me more money to use all of the features. I am very unhappy that they did not try harder to come to any sort of resolution with me and am displeased with their service, the way they advertise, and the technical errors.Desired Settlement: Partial Refund for Unused Portion of $49.99.
