My family booked a stay from 09/til 09/with cc with options of paying at hotelI paid cash on 09/23: $We went to room and the curtains were torn and there were cigarette hole in both blankets, the towel rod and dryer was hanging off wallsI went down and the man gave me room number This room the re fridge didn't work, check the plug and sparks came out, and again cigarette hole in the blanketsMy husband went to the office this time and requested our money back, the man stated that he couldn't do that but would get us another roomWe were moved to room number 226, this one the sewer was backed up in the sinkMy husband went back down there and request a full refundThe man said he could request refund by putting the funds on the debit card that I booked the room with but it will take three business daysHe also said that he would move us to the best room he has for those fours nights for NO charge, so we moved into We ended up staying for one extra night and went down a paid cash $for that same roomCheck out on 09/28, no more problemLater not only didn't I not get a refund but my card was charged $262.32, the same amount that I paid cash for on 09/Was doubled charged for the dump of a hotel and feel unsafe the whole time my family was there( persons knocking on door all hours of day, drug use everywhere, police raids, and the desk service man tell the handy man that he can't wait til next week when his mother get refill on her pain killers)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

If the guest has already started a dispute with her cc company then we will from now on work with the credit card company as soon as we receive their paperwork. Unfortunately we cannot give any refunds or discounts once the cc company has been contacted because doing so may...

result in double credit. More than one representative of our hotel has tried to speak reasonably with the guest but we are not getting anywhere with that so all communication will be done with the cc company disputing the charges. The guest has put damaging and questionable "facts" on Ramada's Facebook page as well as contacted Corporate and Health Department. Resulting inspections from those mentioned resulted in no violations but has wasted a lot of our company"s time

I am currently working at our Baymont Inn & Suites so when I go to Ramada tomorrow (Thursday Aug 18th) I will look into all the guest's concerns and can then decide the appropriate discount or credit to give. More than likely we will offer a free night at our Baymont Inn & Suites in...

Salem/Roanoke area. The hotel is interior corridor and was completely renovated in august 2014 so I believe the guest would be pleased. Or we may offer a credit if the guest paid by cc but like I said, I will look into all the allegations tomorrow.Thank you[redacted]

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever set foot in. I booked through [redacted]. We were in town for the September Ewomen conference. We checked in and looked at the room. it was so grimy dirty we did not stay I contacted [redacted]. they looked into it and [redacted] gave me a 100% refund of my money.
This is not a safe place for families or for women. While I was returning the room key to the front desk a Caucasian male came into the lobby and try to pick me up. The desk clerk ask him to step back and wait a minute.
The city of Roanoke should be totally ashamed to have a business like this with in their city limits.

I have read the complaint and want to apologize. This is unfortunate and not common at Ramada. We have been housing nurse's at [redacted] for over 2 decades and pride ourselves at being able to give clean comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. We see that the room was paid for through...

We would like to reverse the charges to [redacted] cc so that they may then refund Mr. [redacted].Mr [redacted] should call [redacted] to reach [redacted] and to have charges refunded to his cc. We are sorry to hear the guest is not sayisfied with the partial credit we gave on the cc die to guest used room and stayed all day.We do not agree that the guest should be credited the full amount. The manager spoke with the guest the next morning. The guest should have informed the hotel immediately, not at checkout time. The guest agreed and signed acceptance of the partial credit we had given and that's all we will be able to give back.
