Pro's Edge Sports Reviews (3)

Beware when dealing with this business! We have been trying to resolve issues with Pro's Edge Sports for 2 months now. We have experienced poor customer service; including not returning our calls concerning billing and order status, giving inaccurate information then blaming it on the manufacture, and being just plain rude and non-responsive to customer issues. We ordered ice skate blades and boots in December of 2013 thinking we were getting a good deal…. Boy were we wrong. We worked with them until February trying to get a pair of skates and blades that were what we ordered. We finally gave up fighting with them and went with a more repeatable company (although the cost was a little more). After returning the skates and waiting weeks, we finally got a partial credit for the skates that did not fit (the fit issue was one of the things that they blamed on the manufacture) we were surprised to see that they charged a $119.00 re-stocking fee – really? We won’t do business with them again and would recommend paying a little bit more for your skates from a more reputable firm then Pro’s Edge Sports.

This is a dishonest business claiming to be a "Platinum Dealer". I ordered a pair of Jackson Premiere ice skates with Wilson Ace Coronation Revolution blades online for $559 and the skates were shipped to me in a crushed box with no packaging material inside to protect the boots from the sharp blades (the box was half open from minimal taping during packaging). I then contacted Pro's Edge Sports also known as DiscountSkatewear.com and informed the business of the issue. I spoke to a man who later identified himself as Kelly. He told me to accept the package upon delivery (while I was at UPS) and if any damages were caused by the poor packaging he would send me a prepaid return shipping label. After I inspected the boots, there were two prominent scratch marks on the left boot. I took photos of the damaged boot and sent them to Kelly but he refused to honor his promise to send me a prepaid return shipping label. I contacted Kelly the second time and gave him an offer that he could not refuse: send me a new pair of skates or I will take Kelly to court. He responded very quickly this time. I have a law background with many family members who are practicing attorneys and I made it very clear to Kelly that I would disagree with him in California and Arizona courts. Interestingly, Kelly had someone else by the name of Angie called me back to inform me that they did not have my daughter's size in stock and there was a back order from Jackson Ultima. Angie offered me a $50 credit. Stay away from this guy named Kelly W[redacted] and his "Platinum" business. Hope this review will help you to make a prudent decision not to do business with Kelly Weiss. Google "Pro's Edge Sports LLC" and you will see some other negative reviews with similar experiences.
I have been VERY VOCAL about this negative experience to all the coaches, students at many rinks and also to my friends and family members as well as through social media.
