Proscapes, LLC did some very questionable things when hired to do basic landscaping of my yard (top soil, final grade, and seed). First, the company required a sizable up-front payment which they cashed the check and then made no contact with me/my wife for around 2 weeks even after we called/emailed the office multiple times and were told, "Mike will get back to you". Finally when contact was made there was no definitive start date on our project because the company was behind due to recent rain storms, and when a date was given, the company was almost 2 weeks late to that date.
Once the company finally showed up to do our yard and the neighbor’s yard (which took a total of 2 days, 1 day for grading (about 4 hours) and 1 day for seeding/straw cover (about 5 hours)) it was the day before major storms were on the forecast and they put the seed down anyway. I questioned what would be the course of action if we got the rain that was predicted and was given the answer that they could come back out and do some re-grading and seeding, but I would have to pay for it.
So not only did they show up to our project late (because they were supposedly behind schedule due to not working because of storms), but they also seeded right before a major rainstorm which cause major washout on each side and in the back yard of my house. And on top of that, they wanted to be paid to come back and fix what they should have known was going to be issues. Our neighbor’s yard looks just as bad now (3/4 of a year later) as it did before they came in and did work. The neighbor is now having to pay TruGreen to come in and fix everything they already paid once to have done.
Clearly Proscapes, LLC only cared about their profit they were going to make on our project and not the actual outcome. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, ever. Luckily, I've been able to salvage most of my yard from looking completely awful because of a little know-how and research on what do to.
