Homeowner wanted a specialty finish on the drivewayWe pour our own driveways and told them that if they wanted a specialty finish they could hire the other company directly as we would have to subcontract out for? specialty finishesThe cost difference has nothing to do with us and we credited them back what it takes us to do a standard finish driveway? in-houseWe offered a fair credit and they accepted itIf they wanted to pay for an upgraded driveway they had the right to do that but what they agreed to pay for it has nothing to do with usWhat they paid was exorbitant in our opinion but we were never privy to what their agreement was with the other company and what they are not telling you is that its two different products as far as a standard finish and what they paid for which is a much more expensive exposed aggregate finish? We never said we would not pour what was contracted for nor that we would not do the work as designed and what was in contractWhen they wanted the specialty finish we suggested we might be able to do it? at no charge IF we reduced the scope of the circular driveway to make up the difference in cost..it was not that we were refusing to do the circular driveway..it was a suggestion to get them the finish they wanted without adding costTo be? clear it was a quick conversation and suggestion a not something? that was further explored when the desire to keep the full driveway was expressed.? The door was an allowanced item and the owner picked out the doorBecause this job was years ago I cant remember the circumstance but they signed the acceptance for the door and it was never mentioned as a problem for more than years!Because the owner has a pool the [redacted] required pool safty gates? be installed as note? during the permitting processThey were added to the plans and the owner agreed that they would be part of the landscaping allowance as we already had a contract and it did not include the cost of those gatesWe priced out gates for the homeowner and were ready to include them as part of that allowance but when? took back the landscaping allowance as a credit? and did the landscaping themselves they became responsible for the gatesThe punch list even has a note on it to not remove the pool covering until after the owner had finished the gate installThe owner know thisThe plumbing leaks happened years after the house was completedWe came out to have a look and said we would assist in repairing but because it had been so long and we were years past warranty there would be a charge to repair? the owner got upset and did not call us backIt was years after we were done with the project and because we were not involved we do not know what the problem wasIt was however well past any warrantyIt could have been shifting from the earthquake we had.? ? The shower could have been from a faulty shower valve or misuse...or lack of use...we don't know? The owner is complaining to Revdex.com because after a very through RICO investigation it is being determined we have not done anything wrong and for the plumbing just to much time has past and they are dealing with home maintenance or lack of maintenance that cannot be attributed to our work...just too much time has past and its rare that after so much time these types of issues are related to the construction of the home.? ? ?
