[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Dear Revdex.com,
Attached is the original Wood Floor Estimate and Inspection. As one can see, the work agreed upon should have been performed only on a 10 ' x 10 ' segment of railing and base plate that was unfinished by the previous owner, not the existing factory made rail that was replaced years ago during renovation of our home.
In addition, there were a few spots of preexisting oil based urethane that had dripped from the previous renovation of our home, in addition to drips of the water based from Prospect Hardwood and Flooring as explained by the workmen when they came to clean up the spills on the tile.
Furthermore it can be confirmed by another family member that MrBlot referred to this customer as “crazy”, not the experience as “being crazy”Either response to any customer is unacceptable and unprofessional in and of itself
It is apparent that MrBlot is not willing to admit error and meet customer satisfaction, however, he is willing to fabricate the true nature of this complaint and agreement of original floor estimate to make it appear that this customer signed a final contract approving satisfactory work performed outside the original agreement
Thank you,

August 1, Dear *** ***:As you can see by the attached Flooring contract dated 6/30/A Buff and coat was completed in a satisfactory manner for the Living Room, Hallway, Stairs and rails, this was signed by the customer after inspection of the work.We did receive a
call from *** *** after the project was completed indicating that urethane had drip down her wall, nothing to Indicate she had any issues with her rallsThat same day I sent our job foreman back out the ***'s residence to correct this lssue, what *** had left out of her complaint was that the urethane she was referring to was old oil based urethane that had dripped from the previous application from another company, yet she presumed it was our mistake until this fact was pointed out to her, indicating that her detail to what was preexisting and/or new coating was not accuratë,Another call was received from *** regarding her rail, this time I personally went back to Inspect her claimUpon arrival it was Impossible to feel or see her issue unless you tilted your head in the exact angle to allow the sunlight to reflect off her railShe noted that she did not want this rall sanded and coated, but that It was, l indicated to her that is was simply cleaned and coated, thus causing the rail to look lighter after the years of hand olls haol been cleaned from the railThe rail was smooth to the touchAfter inspection and trying to explain to *** that nothing needed to be done to the rail and it was in excellent condition I did note that this experience "was crazy”, again she misunderstood and now claims that I called her crazy. She has somehow again misunderstood that new rails come with an oll based urethane, when In fact her rail, being well over years old came factory direct with an oxide coating, my failed explanation to her indlcated that if she required the rail to be reflnished than at that time it should be coated with an oil based urethane, but because it was only cleaned and coated a waterbased product was sufficient. We did receive a call from her husband after my visit, I did offer to come out again and reapply another coat, they declined our offerAt this point there is nothing left for our company to do, if she still feels that another opinion is required she can contact the NWFA and request an official inspection by a certified inspector at her own expense,Sincerely,Mike B*** Prospect Hardwood Flooring

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:At this time, I have no desire to do any kind of business with this company. As stated before, they appear to be more concerned about justifying their position than to rectify the situation. I can only hope that this Revdex.com complaint will assist other potential customers.

Review: Prospect Development/Hardwood Flooring was contracted to buff and coat (with water base polyurethane) the floors in the living room, hallway, and 10' ft of rails and base plates/posts in the living room area. Prospect development performed work on the stair rails outside of the contract agreement. The work performed outside of the contract agreement was on a factory finished stair rail. The stair rail was in very good condition with a thick coat of oil based polyurethane. Prospect development referred to "buffed", however, it was observed that work performed appeared to include sanding. The work performed on the rail appeared to remove some of the color and created a very dull and ruddy appearance, in addition to an appearance of water based over oil based polyurethane is some areas. When bringing this to the attention of Prospect Hardwood Floors the first time, we received this response, "Speaking with Mike, your hand rails were not sanded during this process, they were buffed to allow the water base polyurethane to adhere. With this process, the handrails will not completely feel smooth but will over time. If you are interested in having your handrails refinished, the cost is $20.00 per linear foot which will include a full sanding and an application of oil base polyurethane". We requested to meet with Mike B[redacted], the manager overseeing the project to review our concern. Mr. B[redacted] inspected the rail and did not appear to be willing to do what was necessary to bring the stair rail back to the original condition. Another individual, also present in the house at the time of inspection, expressed that Mr. B[redacted] sounded very resistant, disinterested, and at times rude during the interaction. Mr. B[redacted] continued to reiterate his 25 years of experience in the business, told me several times I was being overly picky, and at one time said "you're crazy", at which time I requested he maintain a certain degree of professionalism. He left without resolution to the complaint. My husband followed up on our complaint via phone conversation and Mr. B[redacted] offered only to cover the rail with another coat of water based polyurethane and then followed up with an email stating, "We would like to offer an additional coat of clear water base polyurethane for your handrail. As I mentioned, the polyurethane is clear, therefore, the handrail will look the same after applied. As for the texture, there is no guarantee the handrail will feel any smoother then it currently does".Desired Settlement: Repair or replace stair rail to it's original condition. (as stated in one of the company emails- a full sanding and an application of oil base polyurethane (matching original color and condition).
