An agreement was made to purchase a large*** Poly tank.
Payment was required in advance and made.
After multiple delays beyond those put in writing on their quote, they indicted that the tank would be at the site at 7 AM on a specific day. This was confirmed via phone call as crane and crew was required to unload the tank.
At 730 AM on the day of the delivery, the driver called asking about were the site was. He said he would be delayed. His company had not filed for wide load permits in Missouri.They had the other permits needed.
I called Protank and told them I would cover half a day. But, beyond that, they would be back charged for any additional waiting costs. Back charges were sent and after messing with this for 5 weeks; the manufacture, their expediter, and their shipper all refuse to take responsibility for these additional costs.
I offered to take on a third of the charge and the Protank and their shipper should split the cost as they see fit.
They have refused.
At a minimum Buyer should beware that they do not hit their dates and will leave a purchaser vulnerable to additional hoisting costs by not meeting their obligations.

We understand the frustration but when a tank leaves our facility we don't have control over the trucking company that delivers the tank. Due to these tanks being large and considered a wide load, it is not uncommon for there to be delays with permits, DOT inspections, etc. We informed the trucking company that the customer wanted the tank delivered the morning of 12/20/19. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. We never guaranteed this because there's always a chance for delays that are out of our control. We informed the freight company of the issue but didn't have any luck. We apologized but again this was out of our control.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is a misrepresentation. I asked them when the tank would be there so that the expensive crew to set the tank would not wait an entire day for them to deliver the tank.
They said it would be first thing. So the off loading crew was scheduled for that time.
Had they been waiting on me. They would have charged me the wait time.
The Freight company is their entity not mine.The freight company may have been the party that did not get the permits. Either way it is their responsibility to get it to my site when they said they would . They didn't even bother to refund the freight portion I paid as part of the order.
