I just spoke with [redacted] of PROTAX regarding his PDF response.  He and I have several points which we disagree on regarding this situation, I THINK we have finally reached a mutual agreement concerning what occurred on 1/6/2015.  Mr. [redacted] has agreed to send me another letter that will resolve the situation.  I am now waiting on PROTAX to send me this letter.Once I receive this letter from PROTAX, I will let the Revdex.com know in order for the Revdex.com to subsequently close the complaint.  For the time being, please keep this complaint open until I receive the letter from PROTAX.

[Protax is not addressing the issue re. billing for a service they did not provide. I forwarded to them all documentation re. this via certified mail a few days ago. Protax is not contacting me to discuss the issue at hand - they instead keep sending their invoice, adding interest and are mandating a collection lawyer to collect with threats of legal proceedings. I am faced with two choices: either paying them a few thousands $$ and bow to their intimidation tactic or bring my case to arbitration or to court to have the mitigation every customer deserve. Protax one sided treatment of customers is frankly unbelievable]

We have reached a settlement with our client that is has addressed the concerns of both parties.

My complaint with PROTAX has been settled to my satisfaction.    [redacted].

We paid for their services, yet they filed a claim against us in small claims court. We tried to work it out, yet received no response from them. Definitely would not recommend--very fishy company.

We initially sent you a solicitation in July 2013 accompanied by a formal appeal application anda 35% contingency fee arrangement on the back of the letter offering to seek a property taxreduction on your behalf. You filed an on-line appeal application with the [redacted] CountyClerk of Assessment...

Appeals and they assigned it application number 13-805213. The countyclerk enrolled Protax LLC as the agent of record. This may have been an error, however, werecevied a notication from the [redacted] County Clerk of Assessment Appeals Board thatProtax LLC had a hearing scheduled for 1/6/2015 on your property. As wiith all of our clients,we prepared a fulll case supporting a reduction on your property and attended the hearing.[redacted] attended the hearing on behalf of Protax LLC. Prior to the commencement ofthe hearing, Mr. [redacted] indicated that you were in attendance and therefore the two of youmet to review the documentation that both of you had prepared to present to the hearingofficer. Subsequent to this meeting, you made the formal decision to have Mr. [redacted]present his case to the hearing officer on your behalf. Mr. [redacted] denies your assertion thathe offered to represent you for free. Mr. [redacted] has represented thousands of clients onbehalf of Protax LLC over the years and as a matter of policy he never discusses contractualarrangements nor does he have the authority to do so.Mr. [redacted] informed me that you were very pleased with the final results of the hearing asthe final reduced value of $988,000 was well below the valuation that you were seeking. Healso sated that after the hearing was over you inquired as to what the cost would be. He toldme that he informed you that he did not handle contractual arrangements but that you wouldbe receiving a letter from our office in the near future. The County of [redacted] issued arefund in the amount of $3,194.78 on or around 3/12/15 as a direct result of the successfulresolution to the aforementioned appeal and we issued an invoice in the amount of $1,118.17which is 35% of the savings in accordance with our initial offering. We also believe this amountis supported by the principle of quantum meruit. Given your decision to have us represent youat the hearing and our subsequent success, I am confused by your recent actions which includereporting us to the Revdex.com, the [redacted] County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs, and [redacted]. I have attempted to call you but there is no answer. Please call me directlyso that we may have an opportunity to discuss this matter and reach an amicable resolution.Sincerely,[redacted]Protax LLC
