Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The dashboard light did not indicate a problem after the tires were installed. However, when they were replaced by the all-weathers, the service station owner inflated them to psi. The dashboard pressure readings were psi and psi, indicating that the car is defective and simply didn't properly relay the cracked sensor information

Letter Date: 5/26/2017To whom it may concern:Protech Auto Group Inc. is responding to the complaint Assigned with the ID of #[redacted].To Whom it may concern:We installed [redacted]'s snow tires in the Fall of 2016. He never experienced any problems with his TPMS Sensors. If there was a problem with...

the TPMS sensors, a light on the dashboard would have illuminated. He took his vehicle to another service garage 4 months after we installed his winter to have his summertires installed and they told him that we had broken his TPMS sensor. If the sensor was broken the light would have illuminated. We offered hem a free oil change as a good will gesture and he declined it.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Not only did the tire that blew out continuously deflate, but two others on the vehicle were constantly deflating.  If Goodyear continues to use the excuse of an impact on the one tire, then why were the others constantly deflating while simply sitting idle on my street?  I repeat....THERE WAS NO IMPACT.  The rim became warped because of a gradual deflation and driving unknowingly on my rim without the tire properly mounted.  Goodyear has no explanation for this and I think this shows that there was clearly a mis-diagnosis.  This is clearly a case of negligence on their part and installation of the wrong tire.  I await your response.

wasn't until 1/16/2016 that Mr. [redacted] had returned to the shop to tell us his brake light was on. The store manager Matthew had told Mr. [redacted] that he would have to pay to take apart his rear brakes to see if the missing emergency brake hardware was the only issue or if there could be other problems. Mr. [redacted] had stated that the light turned on the day after we did the initial repair but could not contact us until 1/16/2016. Mr. [redacted] insisted that he should not have to pay for the repair, however the store manager, Matthew, had told him that the issue was not caused by the shop, therefore there would charges to repair the issue. Mr. [redacted] was not satisfied with our offer and decided not to have the repairs done and left theshop.RegardsProtech Auto Group Inc.

I brought my car to Pro Tech Automotive Group in Coraopolis PA to have my snow tires mounted. When I had them removed the following Spring at a different service station, the owner informed me that one of the sensors was cracked, most likely when the snows had been put on. I contacted Pro Tech to receive reimbursement for the cost of the replaced sensor, and the business denied any wrongdoing, blaming the damage on the service station. I have never believed that the customer is always right, but he should be given the benefit of the doubt. The public should kick Pro Tech to the curb.

Review: I brought my vehicle in for brake service, particularly to replace all four rotors. When I arrived to pick my vehicle up a lug nut was missing and they told me that a small piece of my emergency brake was missing as well. I asked if it needed to be repaired/replaced and they stated that replacement was not necessary but they had to note this due to increased standards and regulations. The next day my emergency brake light turns on in my vehicle and will not go off. I call them, explain the issue and tell them that I am looking for a resolution. They tell me to bring the vehicle in and they will take a look at it. When I bring the vehicle in the manager, Mathew P[redacted] states that are going to charge me labor to look at the issue and that I should pay to replace the emergency/parking brake - as it is deteriorating. Something that is contrary to the information they initially gave me. After a few minutes of conversation it is agreed that the necessary fix is more than likely an adjustment that was not done during the initial service. Mathew still insists that I pay for them to perform the adjustment, even though this is something that should have been done as part of the initial service. He begins to get belligerent and tells me that my business is not valued and I can sue if I so choose.Desired Settlement: To finish the job completely and correctly or refund my money for the service that was performed at a substandard level (rotor replacement). The poor workmanship has led to another issue that is now costing me time and loss of transportation.

Review: I purchased tires that continue to deflate on different wheels. There is no way that this is possible without misdiagnose or incorrect mounting. I mentioned several times to the managers that a new brand was needed but they replaced the first two tires with the same brand. Protech / Goodyear put me on the road in unsafe conditions. A tire warped / went flat due to losing air on the turnpike. It was driven on at correct speeds and no impact to the tire occurred. I became stranded in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania unsure if I could get a tow that day. Their customer service was subpar. They simply said to tow it back to Pittsburgh when I was approximately 200 miles away. If they try to site problems with the wheels, then that should have been the diagnosis initially and brought up to me when the vehicle was first dropped off.Desired Settlement: Full refund. I can NOT trust the expertise of Goodyear / Protech at this point to replace the tires. They have discredited any complaints I have had about this brand from day one. I had offered to cover the difference if they replaced them all with a better brand, but they continued to replace the defective tires with the same brand. They did NOT make the owner aware of the situation. This left me without transportation to work on numerous occasions.

Revdex.com, ID# [redacted]The customer [redacted] brought his vehicle to Bellevue Protech Auto Group, Inc. With a right rear tire deflated. We determined that the wheel had three impact dents on it. There were two on the outside and one on the inside, causing the tire to lose air. This is considered road hazard damage. We offered the customer a credit on the 3 tires that were not damaged and also offered to replace them with a different brand since he wasn't satisfied with the first set. The new brand of tires that were offered to him was more expensive so he would have had to pay the difference on the expense of the 3 new tires and full price on the damaged tire. I explained that I could send the three tires back to the manufacturer and receive a credit on the three tires. I also offered to mount and balance the replacement set at no charge. The fourth tire was caused by a road hazard therefore the manufacturer would not accept it for a credit.I also want to note, his 2006 Scion-TC original equipment tire size is 215/45ZR17. The size he has on the vehicle is a 225/35ZR19. Therefore this means that the sidewall of the tire is 2 inches smaller than the original size. This will cause sidewall impact damage to the tire and wheel. At some point throughout the life of this vehicle, someone had to alter the size of the tires and wheels.I tried explaining all of this to Mr. [redacted], but he was not receptive to what I was explaining. I also wanted him to come to the garage and show him the damage to his wheel because he insinuated that I was making it up. I operate a professional automotive repair facility and I take each customers dissatisfaction seriously and try to work with them.Paul P[redacted]Owner, Protech Auto Group, Inc.
