Recently I searched for a local fence builder (on Facebook) to replace a portion of fencing destroyed during Hurricane HarveyI called Pro Tech Landscaping in Portland who met with me at my home on May 10th and provided an estimateWe set a date for the work to be done, May & 18, and I wrote a $check for half of the amount of the agreed priceOn May 17th he didn't show up to build the fenceSame on May 18thWe made contact and he assured me he would be there the following Monday; again he did not comeWe spoke on the phone on Monday May 21st and I told him we couldn't do business because of his poor communication and lack of follow throughHe was to bring a refund check to me by the end of last week, which he did not and still has not reached out to return my moneyI have a copy of my check, and screen shots of our conversationsThe owners name is Sean [redacted] , phone number ?( [redacted] ? In late January I met with [redacted] of Pro Tech and he gave me a quote on installation of a French drain, small concrete pad with associated sod replacement, and vegetation removal and river rock installation in some flower beds He quoted a duration of no more than two weeks to complete the work for a total price of $ Per the agreement, half of the quoted price was paid up front, and the other half would be paid when the job was complete Work commenced at the beginning of February Issues with quality of work and schedule became apparent early on, including: a) failure to install weed barrier before placing all of the river rock in the beds b) attempts to install sod directly on top of existing sod with no topsoil c) Continuing failure to meet commitments on completion dates - by the end of February, the concrete pad was not poured, sod was not installed, etc Initially [redacted] was responsive and assured me these items would be corrected However, by the end of February, it beca

I spoke with [redacted] the owner of Pro-Tech landscaping out of Portland, TX to do some renovation work on a residence in Portland, TX that included the following 4 things: Removal of a Palm Tree, an 8' driveway extension to include the apron, 3'X29' flagstone pathway (which had already been dug up by a previous contractor. [redacted] had agreed to put down the flagstone & the granite) and 90q ft of sod on one side of the driveway. He was very adamant that I pay him half up front and called me numerous times attempting to pressure me into making that initial payment, which I did on July 22, 2017. I have an invoice that He wrote down estimated start date of Aug 2nd and estimated completion date of Aug 9th. His crew started the work on Aug 2nd with the palm tree, however it took them over 2weeks to clear the tree and cuttings from the property. We hired Pro Tech Landscaping to add sod grass to our front lawnThe price was we were informed by Shaun that our lawn would be finished in daysIt had been weeks and no one showed upWe contacted them numerous times, and finally he sent some people out to start the jobthey scraped the front yard halfway not even finishing itThey left without telling me and I hadn't heard from them again
We called ProTech numerous time to get this resolved always with the same excuse, "we are very busy" "you are our next customers" this has been going on for over a month now,
I got in contact with Shaun and he began arguing with me that we didn't have anything on paper and it wouldn't be provenI asked is that how you run your business? He said no and that he would e-mail me a statement saying his company would come out to finish the job Monday March 26, We never received an e-mail

Please share as much as possible to get this guys name out there so he doesn’t scam anyone elseLets make him famousDo not use Pro Tech Landscaping from Portland Texas or anyone named *** ***They came and killed my front yard with a sod cutter and dumped a load of dirt in front yardThey used this dirt to do grade correction around our poolAfter months of trying to get these guys to do the job I was told the trucking company used for the dirt hadn’t been paid and they may put a lien on our propertyI requested my down payment back and after weeks of lies and excuses I sued sean carrier todayThis sg has taken from my family for 4,His number is ? Please let him know what you think about him stealing and defrauding people of the last bit of storm recovery money we hadWe still need to find someone that can lay sod at a resonable price as we a very tapped out until we get our money back if we ever do

In March 15, 2018, I gave ProTech Landscaping a deposit to have trees cut down, trim dead branches, and cut out existing grass and lay pallets of new sod, and install a flagstone patio We then decided we would install a sprinkler system and gave Sean another deposit for parts to be ordered The job was to start April 2, and would be completed in a week In over weeks, he was able to cut down trees in which we cleaned up the mess that he left piled in our backyard He then came and cut out the grass and dug a few trenches to make it seem as if he was working We call for days straight before ever getting a reply and when we due its a text saying we are next on the list to compete the project He kept giving up excuses that he was waiting on parts, then he was on city approval (which we found out was a lie), the rain set him back, and excuse after excuseMy yard has been a complete disaster for over weeks I have informed Sean that due to his unprofessional and improper communication, I would be needing a refundHe informed that he would work on numbers and get back with me and I have heard nothing from him but more excuse and of course now is not responding to us at all Horrible company and they are scamming multiple people
