Review: We hired Protech Plumbing to complete a number of small plumbing problems we were having at home and to install a utility sink and grey water pump for our basement laundry. The labor was done and everything was installed but we were told not to use it for 24 hours because the PVC pipe adhesive needed to cure. Because of this, nothing was tested before they left. When we finally did test the system it became apparent that it was not working correctly and that there was a problem causing the washing machine water to back up and "gulp" noisily into the kitchen sink. Clearly this is not correct and we reported this to the owner who promised to fix it. In addition, the utility sink that was installed was cracked (wasn't noticed until after the worker installed it and was promised to be replaced). It has been more then 5 months and none of our issues have been resolved. We have contacted the owner many times via phone and have been given many excuses but no action. I appreciate a small business owner and would prefer to give an honest company work over a larger contractor but this company is giving other small business owners a bad name.Desired Settlement: I would prefer to hire someone else to repair the poor work that was done and complete the job. I expect a refund of $900.

Review: On feb 24, 2013, a tech person from protech came to clear a clogged pipe from my kitchen sink. After numerous attempts, the clog cleared. However, in 10 days the pipe was again clogged. I called the manager to get someone to clear the pipe, however he told me to accurately fix the clog this time, they had to go through my main sewer pipe. And there would be additional cost and someone would not be able to come for at least a couple of days. I totally disagreed with the methodology to fix the clog. I called another company that same day. They came within hours and cleared the clog within minutes through my sink, not my main. Unfortunately, this company charged me $300, which is on top of the $300 I gave protech 10 days earlier. I called the next day to complain to protech. I was hoping they would at least split the bill that the other company charged me. At first they agreed to pay , then when I called a week later to get status on the payment, they advised me they could not afford to pay me the $150 at this time.Desired Settlement: Would like for them to pay half of the cost that the other company charged me. It is obvious PROTECH's original tech did know what he was doing if someone else fixed the same issue in minutes not hours.
