Protection People

Review: We had used The Protection People for many years but cancelled our service with them about 8 months ago. We sent them letters, emails and a registered letter which was returned unopened . Every month we get a new bill and every month we call and tell them that we have cancelled their service. We always speak with a man whose name is Said(not sure of the exact spelling) and every month he says all outstanding bills will be cancelled, that the bills are sent in error and apologizes and of course every month we get a new bill. We have no existing contract with them. They no longer occupy their office at [redacted]. , in [redacted]. We know this for a fact as we live about 1/2 mile from this office and went over there and they are no longer there. The address on the bills we keep receiving is: [redacted].Desired Settlement: We want a letter or email that states we owe no money and will get no more bills.

Review: Protection People installed an alarm system in our house that did not work properly. Although we fully paid Protection People for the installation and for call response, another company, which we did not engage, responded to alarms but then claimed it had no contract with us. Repeated calls to Protection People to repair the system and correct the call center problem were ignored. After months of attempting to have the problems corrected we canceled the service, and contracted with another alarm company. Upon review of the system installed by Protection People, we found that it had been wired incorrectly, incompatible components had been used and we had to remove the entire system. Protection People has been constantly billing us for alleged services provided long after their services were terminated and we repeatedly told them to stop billing us for services that could not have been rendered since their system had long been removed. They have ignored repeated efforts to stop the erroneous billings.Desired Settlement: At this point, we want them to stop issuing billings. If they continue, we will commence an action for improper installation, false representations about their services and the cost of replacing their faulty system.
