The Service Contract is not a warranty since neither PP&CIC or the Administrator are in the line of vehicle manufacturing or distributionIt is also not insuranceThe contract provides a list of covered components and also components and events which are excluded from coverage
Under the terms of the service contract, coverage is provided only when there is a failure/breakdown of a covered component(s)As explained in our previous response, there was no mechanical breakdown shown for the components in question, but were replaced or repaired at the recommendation of the repair facilityAfter additional review of this claim file the decision remains unchanged
By pointing out the foregoing, PP&CIC does not waive, but specifically reserves, any and all rights and defenses it may have under the Vehicle Service Contract and the applicable law

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/12) */
***,
Below is the prosed draft for the attached complaintThanks!
On behalf of *** *** *** Inc(WDS), we are responding to your April 29, letter regarding this matterPlease note that Lyndon Property Insurance
Company, which you have listed as the responsible party, insures the contractual obligations of Ms***'s Service ContractWe would ask that you change your file to list WDS as the Administrator and responsible party for addressing this matter
For the claim at hand, an independent inspection revealed that the vehicle has been modified with tires that are 14.44% larger than the manufacturer's recommended tiresThe manufacturer designs the vehicle with the specific tire size for a reason, the drive train and electronic fuel management system is calibrated from the factory for the specific tire size as designed by engineers for proper operation and performanceThe changing of tire sizes causes the engine management system to try and compensate for this change thereby changing the calibration of the electronic spark control, fuel delivery, power train systems (engine rpm's, emissions, transmission calibration, etc.) and odometer accuracy
Under the terms of the Service Contract, failures caused by "non-original equipment, wheels and tires, and body or suspension lift/lowering kits, chassis modifications" are excluded from coveragePlease see item #under the "EVENTS WHICH ARE NOT COVERED" section of the contractDue to this exclusion, the customer has been advised that future coverage for the transmission, driveline, steering, suspension and brake components are being suspended until the vehicle is brought back to the manufacturer's specificationsPlease note that this suspension of coverage is for future claims and a $2,payment has been sent to the repair facility for the current claimIf Ms*** wishes to cancel the Service Contract, she will be refunded a pro-rated amount based on the current mileage and amount of time that the contract has been in force
Based upon the terms of the Service Contract, WDS believes this claim has been properly adjudicated
The matters stated in this communication do not waive, but rather reserve any and all rights and defenses WDS may have under the Service Contract
Sincerely,
*** ***

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was SOLD THE TRUCK AS IT SITS RIGHT NOW, WITH the EXACT SAME TIRES ON IT...I have done absolutely NO MODIFICATIONS to it since I bought it!!!!! I was SOLD the extended warranty EXACTLY as the truck sits! I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP that this warranty would cover everything AND WAS NOT INFORMED OF ANY STIPULATIONS!! I was also told by the dealership that WDS had SUSPENDED my warranty and I was supposed to receive a letter stating such...I STILL HAVE NO LETTER!! In order for the truck to have new tires, this means REMOVING THE LIFT KIT (which was ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT), buying ALL new rims (WHICH WERE ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT), and ALL NEW tires!!!! If this is how this company is going to do business then they need to contact EVERY dealership that they serve and TELL THEM THAT THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES ARE NOT COVERED!! Also, my bill was for a total of $2,for the repairs...why was only $paid???? I now have the SAME PROBLEM with the truck (swaying violently when hitting a bump) that I had before the control arms were replacedI have ordered new tires for the truck to see if this helpsFinally, I was told this vehicle also had the balance of the factory warranty...where the *** is this warranty??? If the Revdex.com is going to accept this type of practice...why are you even in business?? This is advertisement plain as day and leading a consumer to believe that there are no exclusions at the time of the sale of the extended warranty! This all being said...I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS STIPULATION from WDS!!!

I can't pay something is not my fault had took so long

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I spoke with several representatives of *** (henceforth referred to as "representative" or "representatives" or "the warranty") during the course of the repair procedure. The first representative
indicated that the repair would be covered, minus the deductible ($50). However, in order to proceed, the engine would need to be dismantled in order to inspect the failed part. This procedure thus required approximately hours of labor (per the repair facility's estimate). The failed parts were the idler pulley and the timing belt tensioner, and replacement of these parts requires removal/replacement (R&R) of the timing belt and associated parts. The repair facility indicated that the failed parts are purchased as a package and, as such, the additional components are part of the repair. Upon receipt of this information, I spoke with several other representatives. The last representative with whom I spoke (*** #***) indicated that the warranty would cover the cost of the necessary replacement parts, but that I would be responsible for the labor of the non-necessary parts. I then received clarification that the necessary repairs included the parts that are purchased as a package, and then received a quote for my part of the repair (from the repair facility) in the range of $275-(exact number is not available at this time). However, I was surprised to learn, upon picking up my car, that the *** program refused to cover all of the other expenses, and I would be required to pay >$500. I feel that the warranty, as advertised, is misleading. As described to me at the time of purchase (at *** *** *** in Fort Wayne, Indiana), the "complete" warranty covers all repairs, bumper to bumper, including the labor. In practice, however, the warranty seems to only cover failed parts and the portion of labor associated with replacing that part, but does not cover other parts that need to be replaced in order to properly perform the repair. In other words, the warranty only pays for a "DIY-style" repair, where non-failed parts are reused. The problem is that a reliable ASE-certified mechanic does not perform this type of repair, as they are unwilling to risk their liability or their reputation on a DIY-style repair. Nevertheless, the warranty requires that all repairs are performed at an ASE-certified facility, causing a potentially large discrepancy between the claim and the repair cost
Sincerely,
*** ***

Purchased a Mileage Plus Mechanical Breakdown Service Contract Valid for 36,miles I am writing this as a warning to this scam Contract only lists out items which rarely break down The back window shade in my Toyota Avalon Hybrid now makes a grinding sound when it tries to retract I looked on line, and apparently this is a common issue with Toyota cars which have this feature Took my car in and, of course, it wasn't covered Over $to have repaired I am looking at $just to have it disconnected (cannot use the fuse because it will also prevent other items from working) These types of contracts need to be investigated because they are simply a rip off to the consumers It only covers what, historically, does not happen

On August I bough a F- from a *** dealership in Woodbrdge, VA, of course is used so they offered me to buy a extended warranty , they told anything happen to your engine and transmission it would be covered, unfortunately after months the truck started to do some weird noise when I turned on or when on a red light, I thought it was something simple then after a week or so start getting worse so I decided to take it to a Ford Dealership as I was told I could take it to any Ford, they did the diagnostic contacted the warranty company they said they were going to send a inspector, that was like a week before Thanksgiving, took like weeks to get the inspector in, he got to the shop talk to the Service Manager and he said did see anything wrong , there is pistons are fallen off already, it wasn't enough to them, so they wanted to tear apart the engine I had to authorized it because I need my truck fix, second time inspector didn't agree what the shop said, so of course t
