I received an email from MrReed yesterday 2/28/in regards to his dispute with our 3rd party billing company I immediately researched the complaint, verified the payments were posted to the incorrect date of service which needed to be moved to the correct account to show that a refund needed to be completedThis patient's account has been cancelled from our outside collections company I approved refund request and notified MrReed that a check would be cut today 03/01/and mailed directly to him for the overpaid amount For any future inquiry I have given MrReed my direct contact information I am located in our corporate location I have requested an investigation to be completed for the circumstances surrounding this accounts errors with timely posting, timeliness with refunds Becky [redacted]

Hello,
I received an email from MrReed this morning inquiring about the refund requesting the overnighted tracking number. I replied to MrReed as follows;
"Good Morning,
My apologies as I didn’t know that the payment was to be overnighted. The refund was placed in the mail on Thursday mid-morning and I would expect with mail delivery the check should reach you no later than Wednesday Please contact me with any additional questions"
Our practice is to use standard delivery when mailing our refund checks. I'm uncertain if by me stating that the refund would be processed immediately and mailed next day was interpreted as being overnighted which I apologize. I wish the circumstances surrounding this refund were different, but unfortunately I am not located in the same location as our billing team and act as a liaison between the two agencies
I have requested an investigation to be completed to follon the events leading up to the delay in getting this refund appropriately refunded in a timely manner.
Again, my apologies and I wish I was involved from the beginning
