I am very unhappy with my serviceI called early in the morning Feb 8th to report that I had no heat or hot water - left a messageI did not receive a call back and next thing I know around 3pm the service technician was in my drivewayI had already made arrangement for the following morning which thankfully I did not incur a cancellation fee forAndy spent about 5-minutes looking at my heating unit and the other technician with him made a comment: here\'s the problemThe power vent fan appeared to have seizedAfter the 5-minute \'inspection/diagnostic\' Andy said he was going out to purchase the new part which was a power vent fanHe returned and installed the new control, and then said he had good and bad news in that the vent pipe was useless and that he also now had to replace thatI was then charged additional labor on top of the service call to replace that partI feel as though being charged twice for labor is unprofessional and if the technician had done a more thorough inspection the additional labor charges for making the second trip would not have been incurredI understand factors of overhead are included when writing an invoice but this instance took it too far considering in all the work performed took approx45-1hr if that (not including travel time)Furthermore when I called to voice my concerns I was told I didn\'t know what I was talking aboutI do know that if you want to keep customers this is not how you treat themI would not recommend Chris Talas Heating to others

I have a problem furnace and Chris was the only one who could get it working He has explained the problem and showed me the issue Whenever I have called with a no heat call, Chris has been very responsive and come quickly I would recommend this business

On 2/6/2015 Chris T[redacted] installed a new heating system for us. The installation when well and he did come back to fix a few things that needed adjusting,but it is now 10/16/15 and we are still waiting for him to come and take the old furnace, which was included as part of the installation of the new furnace. He has made two appointments to come and take it then never showed up nor did he call to say he couldn't make it. It has been very difficult to reach him. We have left several messages on his personal cell and the business phone and no one will return our calls. IF you use him, don't pay until ALL work is complete!

Review: I brought my car in for a squeeking loud noise. They looked it over and decided it was the transmission. I know nothing about transmissions, but he said that they would service the transmission. He thought that I needed a new one, but they would try this. He ended up charging me $605.03. The "fix" lasted for 29 days. I took my car to a reputable transmission shop in Simi Valley and he was apalled at what he charged me for a "transmission service" which runs 100 to 150 dollars. He told me I got ripped off. What this station did was try to get my business anyway he could and with his wording of what was happening got me to let him work on my car when he knew all along that this was a temporary fix and that I needed a new Transmission. He kept saying I am trying to help you....All he did was string me along, knowing that I did not know how this works. that is why I brought it to him. He is supposed to be the expert, not me. He also said if I hear anything or something goes wrong, come in I will help you. So Tues May 28th I hear the same screeching noise, I bring it in and he says for me to leave it there for his transmission guy to look at. He will be there at 2:00 p.m. by 5:00 I still had not heard from him, so I went to pick up the car and he had not even looked at it. He said, "now what is happening with the car?" He also said, "well we tried and at least it lasted a month!" He wanted to put in another transmission for me. So I said will the 600 dollars go towards the new one, (just to see what he would say) he said oh no....Of course I am going to go to a Transmission person for the work. He knew that and he got me for what he could. I was sooooo taken advantage of!Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay 100. For a transmission service, even though it should not have been done in the first place. I feel I should be refunded the $505.03 that I was overcharged in the first place. He took advantage of me big time. All the while being so nice to me and looking out for my best interest, saying he knew I couldn't afford a new transmission.

When you brought your car in to my shop, I gave you a couple of options when it came to your car problems. As the transmission was the issue, and knowing how expensive it is to replace the transmission, I gave you the alternative of repairing the transmission and taking a chance. In going the second route, I also let you know that it's not a permanent fix and we would not know how long it would last - it could be a day, a week, a month, or a year. This was also written on the invoice that I provided for you.
