I would not recommend Prowess Real Estate to anyone EVER!!!! When my wife and I moved into our rental home and a half years ago, we came in from out of town (Military)We drove 20+ hrsto get here from MaineWe were told to call when we were hour away so the agent could meet us at the house to let us inI called hrout, 1/hrout, minout, and no one answered or called backLong story short, we waited hours to get into the house, and it was our year old neighbors who had been watching the home for the owners who let us in (we still have not in 1/yrsseen the agent, and the owners had to bring us our keys)When we came in we had to clean the house because it was FILTHY!!!! This was before we could bring anything inside Since then we have had nothing but problems with Prowess Maintenance!! They do not communicate AT ALL with the tenantsThere have been several times where I have put in maintenance requests, and have not heard anything from them as to the progress on the requestMany times the maintenance man will just show up or days after the request expecting someone to be home!!!!! Recently, we have been waiting almost weeks for them to come out and fix a major problem, but because of their lack of communication, we do not receive calls from them with updates on the progress or anythingIt is an electrical issue, my wife is 1/months pregnant & stressed that we may wake up with the house on fire, and Prowess just keeps pushing things to a later date every time I call!!! This is completely ridiculous!!! If anyone is thinking of using them as their agents or maintenance company and reads this, please do yourself a favor and move on to another company!!!!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. At the closing, I received security deposits from the seller for the occupied unitsWHILE I was closing, Prowess was renting out the unit I did not hire Prowess Prowess had the tenant sign a long term contract against my orders (the tenant that moved in the beginning of last month was on a month to month contract so Prowess knew of the buyers preference) Prowess could not give me the security deposit at closing probably because of shoddy business practices - perhaps mixing and matching tenants from different customers as the tenant who moved came from a mold infested property that Prowess manages The deposit should have been turned over at time of closing like the other three I want the security deposit plus interest Next step is a lawyer who will be asking for security deposit, their fees, loss of income while I chase Prowess around, and stress compensation Regards, [redacted]

This lease was signed by the tenant and the owner of the property on 6/21/ The security deposit was not paid at that time because the tenant needed their security deposit returned from their other apartment first
The sale of the property closed over a month later on 7/ A credit was not given at closing for the security deposit because the seller had not received itThe tenant's security deposit (old apartment) was then returned to them on 8/At no point did Prowess have in its possession the security deposit for the lease in question
The tenant now simply needs to pay the new property owner the security deposit as specified in the lease

Prowess, a 3rd Party Property Manager, never received a security deposit for the lease in question.  The tenant who recently signed this new lease was instructed to pay the security deposit directly to the new owner of the building.Furthermore, Prowess does not hold security deposits for any of...

Prowess placed a tenant in a residential rental building that I was buying while I was closing that doesn't pay on time, moved the father of her children in, he was hauled away by the cops and the place is now bug infested.
I lived next door to this building for several years. Prowess also placed a family that had the children picked up by the cops, terrorized the neighborhood and who didn't pay on time.
