On the day in question, I was at Attention to Detail vacuuming one of our lot cars before headed back to the car lotA woman pulled up in a black Suzuki, she handed me her keys and said "I talked to somebody already, I want the inside and out cleaned.” I replied, "Ok." She then proceeded to leave
in another vehicle and no other words were exchangedI was not there when she came back for the car*** *** *** *** ** *** *** On the day in question, a middle-aged lady came to our garage and said "I have already talked to somebody the night before to detail my car, I will be back in a few hours." Someone in another car then picked her upAbout two hours later her and two boys pulled up and they got out and I asked if I could help them and both of the boys surrounded me in a corner yelling at me for stealing his customersWhile they had me occupied the lady went into the garage and grabbed her keys and got into her car and then they waited for her to pull toward the main road and they leftShe didn’t even try to pay. I guess she thought we were going to let it go-*** *** *** *** ** *** *** ***On the day in question, I had come to the car lot to pick up a car that needed worked on, and I just drove my personal truck up there since it already had a tag on it (car lot cars we have to put a dealer tag on) plus I had the keys in my pocket alreadyThe company also reimburses me for mileageI parked in front of the cars that are for saleAfter I left I got a call saying that I had blocked a customer in and needed to move it immediatelySince the car I had drove down was being worked on, I got in the closest thing to me, which was our wrecker, so I could get there as soon as possibleOur garage is less than a quarter mile away from the lot so I got there in less than a minuteThe reason I didn't know I had blocked in a customer car was because she has backed in to the space between two cars that were for saleTo me, it just looked like another car of the lot for saleWhen I pulled up she started screaming asking me if I was told to come block her in I replied, "No I work here and just came to get a car and parked there." She then said "Well get the F---, out of my way." I moved my car and no other words were exchanged.*** *** *** ***On the day in question, I received a phone call from car detailer stating that a lady had driven off without trying to payI then immediately went to the detail shop to get the full storyThey then told me that *** *** (a person we used to rent the detail shop to) had came with the lady and another man and had cornered *** while the lady ran in the building and took the keys to her car without paying for the detail that we didI then called the copsThey asked if we knew her name and I replied No, we never got the chance to even get her nameI assume the cops got the name of the lady from *** *** because they found her at work only about minutes laterSo the cops came back to the Detail shop and said she should be coming to pay any minute and if she doesn't to call him backSo I then get a call from our car lot, (that is just up the road) saying a lady is there to pay for a detailI immediately get in my car and go to the car lot, which took me less than a minuteI get there and she immediately started telling me that we deceived her and made her think we were the detail shop that we used to rent toI replied and told her that it wasn't our intention to deceive her but whenever she just dropped the car off and only telling *** *** *** that she had already talked to someone, they had assumed she had talked to meAnd in fact, that the guys working at the detail shop didn't even know *** *** so if she had mentioned his name then he wouldn't know himI only know him because I am the one who had rented him the buildingShe then said whatever just stop talking how much do I owe youI replied $which is our rate of $for a inside and outside detail plus taxShe said she would not pay that because she didn't think they did a good job at all and at most she would give us $I told her that what was owed was $and that she would have to pay that or I would have to call the cops againShe said fine call the copsSo I didWe waited about minutes, in which during that time, business was still going on at the car lot and they needed a car worked on so they called *** to come pick it upWhen I got to the car lot I had parked on the side of the building and came through the side door, so I didn't even pay attention to where she had parked at the front of the buildingAfter minutes she said she couldn't wait anymore and had to go back to work and would just pay the money but would be sure to never send us her business againI asked what her name was so I could give her a receipt and she replied with "Jane Doe." I wrote the receipt and she stormed out of the buildingShe then walked back in and said she was blocked inIt was then I saw that she had not parked in customer parking, but instead parked between two cars that were for sale on the lotFurthermore, she had backed into the space so it was facing even the same way as the cars for saleI called *** and he said he had not noticed it was a customer car and would be right hereWhile we were waiting on *** "Jane Doe" was pulling on *** door handle and trying to enter his vehicleThen, she got in her car and laid on her horn for approximately two minutes, which is the amount of time it took *** to get back to move his truck, None of her actions, nor the actions o* *** *** did she mention in her claim.*** *** ***

I am writing this letter in response too the Complaint that was made by Ms. [redacted] . I am David Dilley ; owner of Prudence Used Auto Sales . When [redacted] brought the 2011 [redacted] to our service center ; I was there and looked the car over myself and also test drove it at that time...

. It did not need brakes , however it did have a sensor bad . We told her that we would replace the sensor and go ahead and replace the brakes and rotors for her . At that time She stated that she would like to trade it in for an all wheel drive . I told her that she could but that she would lose $1,000.00 of the down payment that was paid on the [redacted] if it was traded back in on an All Wheel Drive . We were going to fix the [redacted] at no charge too her . But [redacted] wanted an All wheel Drive vehicle instead of the [redacted] she had purchased . Upon her trading in the [redacted] ; we returned the brakes and rotors to the part store (it really didn't need them ; was fixing to keep customer happy) and replaced the sensor that had went bad . The [redacted] was not over heating when it was test drove , nor does it over heat now . The sensor was just showing it was over heating . Also , On the License plate complaint .... [redacted] was issued a temp. tag for the [redacted] she traded in for and didn't have a license plate to transfer at that time. We told her she owed taxes and fees for the [redacted] ; which totaled $670.00 . I have enclosed a copy of the paper we gave her that stated that and she signed at the time of sale . Should you have any questions, please call our office. Thank You for your time,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The owner lied in his response. He claimed that he drove the [redacted] & found nothing wrong with it. Well, if he drove it, it was when he first bought it or AFTER my complaint because when I was having problems with it & trying to return it, he was at the beach! And yes, I did receive $3,000 or my $4,000 down payment back, but I was told the day I took the [redacted] to the shop that I could use that $3,000 to put down on ANY vehicle. The next day, I was told that I had to come up with another $1,000 to put with what I had. THAT is why I'm complaining & why I want my $1,000 back. I was swindled out of money that I needed to pay taxes & he blatantly lied about driving the car. I was also told that I could use my previous insurance card to use my current license plate, then I was told I couldn't because my name wasn't on it. Never mind that my co-signer's was & I was told I could use it, I still have to pay $50 for new tags because again, I was lied to.
Regards,
[redacted]
