Review: I rented a vacation home at [redacted] for the week of 7-18-15 to 7-25-15 using the website at Gallo Realty; the base cost for this rental was $2300. The photos of this house on the website show a 3-story Victorian with an open, airy porch with no trees and only a few small shrubs (obviously taken at least 15 years ago). When we arrived at the house, we found it was enclosed in 3-story-high pine and cedar trees with unkempt vegetation and weeds under the trees. The walkway into the house had upheaved bricks due to root damage and was not safe to use. We had problems with ants and bugs in the kitchen and on the porch which we believe was directly related to the overgrown yard. My problem is that Gallo Realty misrepresented this property by placing false pictures on their rental website and I inadvertently rented this property at what I feel was an inflated price given the actual condition of the outside of the property.. Attempts to resolve this issue directly with Gallo Realty have not been successful.Desired Settlement: Gallo Realty should take down the misleading, inaccurate photos and replace them with current photos so that future renters will have an honest, true picture of this property.

I would also request half of my rental fee ($1,150) be refunded due to this fraudulent practice.

I am writing to you in response to your concerns about your recent rental at [redacted]I am sorry that you did not feel that the home was to your liking, in regards to the trees covering the front of the home. We have offered this home for rent for many years, and have never had a complaint about the trees and landscaping, as most guests say they enjoy the privacy as the home sits on a busyintersection.I understand there were some other minor issues with the home, but you requested that they get fixed after you had left. I can see your point about the photos of the home being somewhat misleading, we have since changed them on our website. However I do not feel that it warrants a 50% refund of your rental.The owner has refused to offer a reimbursement. I am willing to refund you all of the money that we collected on thisrental from our fees, which would come to $376. I hope you find this an adequate solution,and that is all I can do.We will be forwarding a check to your address in [redacted]. Once again, I apologize for the circumstances.

Review: We rented a property at [redacted]rom Prudential. Upon our arrival, we discovered that the outside of the property was not as presented on realtor's website. The property had trash under trailer, weeds were taking over the sidewalks, no outside lighting was working. Contacted [redacted] Realtor for Prudential. Maintenance man came on Wednesday, 4 days after the initial call to [redacted] The inside of this rental had rodent feces in kitchen cabinets, on and around refrigerator and in bedroom dresser drawers. Master bedroom had fresh urine stains on bedding in master and one other bedroom. Master bedroom and master bathroom smelled of urine. Hole in master bathroom floor, big enough to see sand and trash beneath trailer. No working smoke detectors. We replaced on battery during our stay for safety. [redacted]n was contacted many times during the week vacation complaining about property. At no time did [redacted] or another agent come to look at property. [redacted] stated that, "the property owners are my clients, therefore there is nothing that I can do for you." I contacted Carolyn's boss, [redacted] regarding the disrespect of [redacted] and the condition of the property. We asked [redacted] for a monentary reimbursement for half of our money back. We offered him pictures of this property, which he has not asked to see. [redacted] told [redacted] that we were offered a new place to stay during our week, when in fact, [redacted] statement to me on our first day there, "this is the busiest week of the summer, there are no other rentals. There are other realty companies for the Delaware beaches and I would highly suggest that you use them. We have never had a problem with the other realty companies. They have clean rentals, with honest employees. Their staff is there for you, the renter, no just the property owners. Not once during that week did we hear an apology from [redacted] but she did get her money from us.Desired Settlement: We would like to be reimbursed half of our weekly rental amount of $425.00.
