Pruitt's Plumbing Reviews (11)

Pruitt's Plumbing is a 5 star business.
From the first phone call to the plumber installing
the water heater, everyone was GREAT. and....on time...Thank you Pruitt's Plumbing for your outstanding service!!!!!!

Pruitt's was sent out by my home warranty company for a simple shower leak and to replace a toilet flapper. I noticed some leaky hose bibs and asked if that could also be done and they said sure no problem. So let me tell you how this all unfolded. First, they told me they would call within four hours to set up an appointment for the next day. They never called me so I called them and was told that someone would call me tomorrow to come out that day. Guess what...they called me the next day but told me someone would come out the following day. I was already upset that they were postponing this another day but I agreed. So they came out the next day and didn't have the right parts, so now they rescheduled for another two days later! They finally come out again and repaired the leaky shower and toilet but then they surprise me with a ridiculous bill of $120 for the hose bibs, claiming that they needed to charge me for a trip to the store, a specialty hose bib, and that my home warranty would not cover the labor because they do not cover hose bibs. I called my home warranty right away and was told that the hose bibs were indeed covered. This so called specialty hose bib is a quarter turn valve instead of a full turn - same price, nothing "special" about it, just a different type. Pruitt's just tries to get you to pay more money! They try to get you to pay a bunch of money without first explaining costs up front and they act like they are getting parts that are much more expensive, but these are all lies. Any ethical business would not surprise you with a ridiculous bill and then attempt to justify it with lies. Good thing I called my home warranty company to call them out on their lies! Do not let this company do the work. They are unethical and liars. If your home warranty contracts them, I would advise you to ask for another company or to strongly suggest that your home warranty does not do business with them. Pruitt's Plumbing will only do more harm and try to get you to pay for it at the same time.

My home warranty sent Pruitts out several times. No hot water in my shower...took a month and 2 people to fix it. One got fired in the process. We had a list of things they were scheduled to fix and they never got done on subsequent visit. The kitchen faucet was leaking and it took 2 months to get someone back here to put it in, it cost an arm and a leg AND it wasn't connected to the counter so when you turn it on and off it moves. Called Pruitts back out and got a major attitude from Mike Pruitt who basically told me it was an inconvenience and I shouldn't complain because he was working for FREE. Um, of your guys knew how to do their job you wouldn't have to be here. Used the faucet after he left and guess what...still loose. Needless to say we won't be using them again.

We were forced to use this plumbing company because our home owner's insurance chose them. They refused to fully fix our simple shower leaking issue and made it worse in the process. After difficulty scheduling them to come back they refused to fix the problem they caused. We are now going to have to find another plumber and spend way more money just because we had a dripping shower. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY!! If this company can't fix a simple leaky shower then they can't fix anything! You will regret the time, money, and headache they will cause you.

Absolutely horrible experience. [redacted] home warranties sent out Pruitts for a leak in my upstairs guest bathroom, leaking into my downstairs celing and (now) light fixture. Pruitts called 3 hours after I placed a request with them, and said they could not get anyone out until Monday. After explaining to this girl it was an emergency situation, she said someone would come out between 12-5 the same day (Friday) but if a tech came on the same day as the reapir it would be charged at an emergency AND after hours rate. After hours at 3 on a Friday?!??! John came out and said the overflow in my upstairs tub was upside down, and that he had corrected it and we could use the upstairs as normal again. I wake up at 5 am on Saturday to a huge puddle in my kitchen downstairs and even more water raining from the celing, with even more damage than the first time. I call pruitts and explain the situation, and that my only tubs and showers are upstairs. Their receptionist said they could maybe get someone out Saturday between 12-5, otherwise it would be Monday. Horrible experience, they did not fix the problem, they only made it worse, and cannot provide an ETA on a tech, or even if they could get me one today... steer clear. [redacted] has terrible reviews for them, and go does [redacted]. I definitely would not have chose them, solely based on the reviews, however it was the only available service vendor in my area per my home warranty. I see why they are not Revdex.com accredited!

This company does not stand behind its labor. I had 2 toilets worked on for a leak on the seal of the flapper. The handle of one toilet was left so stiff it has to be jiggled to make the water stop filling. The toilet on the other won't stop filling because flapper opens and it does not stop running. When I called them to come back out 6 weeks later they told me ticket was closed. I explained it was never fixed and my spouse was in the hospital, or I would have called sooner. After a second call, they would come back, but it would be another 96.00 charge. They do not warranty their labor. It was shoddy work and the plumber Javier was more concerned and focused that the home warranty company would replace the toilets.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I would highly recommend others not use this company at all.

This company is the worst as far as keeping appoinent times that I have ever dealt with! I originally dealt with them through a home warranty company. They totally waisted my time and never follow up with an appointment. I called several times to deal with them one call per day going on for a week, to follow up for a service call for a job, I called 4 days in row to be scheduled. I told them I want to an appointment I don't want my day to be wasted. They said no problem. Well, the day going on day five and still no appointment is schedule yet. They did it again. They were leaving me high and dry, when I called them, they said they will have the on call guy give me a call, and still no call I never once raise my voice or got upset but I feel that this company does not follow through no matter how many times I tried. After they never called even after a week. I finally called my home warranty company to tell them you that they wasted my time. This is the most unreliable plumbing company I ever dealt with period.

I called Pruitt to simply ask if they could wear "booties" over their shoes since we have new carpet. They seemed offended by this and said no - but if I want to drive to Home Depot and buy some for their Pruitt employee to wear I could?
What happened to customer service or caring about the client? Really Pruitt? You don't have 2 dollar booties in your truck? Such a simple request. Cancelled with them immediately.

If there were a spot for 0 stars I would have entered it.
This company did a repair that we learned was not completely fixed. We bought a house and didn't use the tub for over 30 days where they supposedly fixed the leak. When I called them back the "manager" basically told me I could pay $96/hr to have them come fix it AGAIN because over 30 days had passed.
I told him that is ridiculous and I asked him why they don't stand behind their work? He hung up the phone on me!
